I just pulled off the chrome emblems on my tank, and was wondering if anyone else has? If so what did you use to get the rest of the sticky stuff of the tank that wont harm the paint??? :?

I used Goo Gone. It takes a while to get it all but it works. Its best to heat the emblem up with a blowdryer or something. More of the tape comes off with the emblem that way. You can pick it up at Home Depot or Ace Hdwe.

I use 3M adhesive remover. It works well and does not hurt the paint. This is what we used in the shop at the truck accesory store I worked at to remove emblems. I even used it on the plastic side covers with out a problem.

There's still a Dilworth, MN??? I would have thought that Moorhead would have swallowed that place up by now.

Yeah, I used dental floss and goo gone and had some sore thumbs from rubbing the crap off, but it came out nice.
I also did the side covers as well.
