Memorial Day ride

Hello all,

I am trying to get some folks together to make a Memorial day ride. Leaving from Crestview, we will ride into Ft. Walton and meet up with some others then on to P'cola via HXY 98 to the Memorial wall. Stop there for a short bit and press on to Mobile to the Battleship. Lunch, hang out, then I-10 back to the 'View. Any takers? This will be Monday 30 May. Not sure on the time yet. Probably leave Crestview around 7 or 8 I guess. Let me know. Lets get some folks together for a nice long ride. What do ya say??

Sounds like fun. When & where in Crestview? I live in B'ham but I have a small farm in Florala, so I know a little about the area.

For all those planning on making this ride; we will leave the Crestview Wal-Mart (bottom of the parking lot) around 8ish and meet up with Ft Walton folks in front of Sam's Club (right behind Murphy's gas station) at 0830-0845. (There will be a Harley rider and cafe' bike rider meeting us there for sure) We will pull out around 9 and should be at the Wall in P'cola around 10. So pick out where will be best to meet up for you and we'll see you there. Those that will meet in Crestview, please let me know so I can look/wait for you. I will leave C'view NLT 0815. I am looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible. This should be a great ride.......

sounds like a good ride but The wife and I will be a few hours ahead of you.We are taking a week and trailering the Vtx in its new 6x10 enclosed trailer to MountainHome Ark.And do some riding on some different roads. all of you be careful.

I'm looking forward to this ride tomorrow. I will be at C'view Wal-mart at 8 at the bottom of the parking lot down on the end. (where we always meet) I am looking forward to meeting our new riders. Weather ain't lookin' good fellas. I was out cleaning wheels and the 10,000 miles on my stock Dunlops are showing. If it isn't dry in the AM I am gonna have to pass on this one. I like the shiny parts on my bike and my WHOLE hide too much to take a chance. Getting new Metz this week for the Cheaha trip..... :oops:

Looks like we are washed out guys. Weather looks bad now and there is another storm front coming right behind this one. We will have to reschedule. Damn!!!

Thanks for coming up to wal-mart and letting us know what was going on. Hated not to been able to ride with you and the others from that area.We got back to B'ham without getting wet.I'll let you know when I'm coming back down and we'll get together then.

Any time Rocket. Sorry it didn't work out also. I get horribly sunburnt yesterday riding to P'cola by myself. Nice ride; hated to be by myself though. Never can tell what mother nature will do. I look forward to riding with you guys soon.
