Good to hear from you and good luck with your new scoot. Strange though because I always thought sport bikes were more comfortable. That stock seat on your retro is going to kill your tailbone after a hundred miles or so.

I have an 03 VTX 1300S and it's a good bike. You'll have a lot of fun.

Good luck and take care.

There's quite a bit. One place you can check for starters is http://www.njmce.com. They'll have listings of some rides. You can do google searches too because different clubs sponsor different rides.

You might want to check out the New Jersey Motorcycle Cruisers club. It is mostly an Ocean County based club but we do have members all over the state and some even out of state. Members are treated with respect and is a family oriented club. "No dirty language, Pictures or disrespect is allowed" We do club rides and are sponsoring an event August 14 for the Marine Scholarship Fund at the Hedger House in Chatsworth NJ. " See the post directly under this one for details" Check us out you won't be sorry. Oh and this is not a VTX exclusive club if your wondering. Actually its mostly Harley's but we can overlook that. LOL !

Hey,

So does our club..www.njxriders.com

THE RULES

While we all hate rules, we only have a few. They are mainly common sense things that at times just need to be spelled out.

You should have the proper license/permit, registration and insurance to operate a motorcycle in the state of New Jersey.

When riding in-group, safety is number one. You are not to jeopardize the safety of any member while riding. Visit the Riding Etiquette page for more information on how to properly ride in group formation.

You are not to give the group a bad name.

You are not required to participate but are greatly encouraged to do so. It doesn’t work any other way.

No outright brand bashing. This site isn't a "one brand" site.

No personal attacks are allowed on the message boards. They will not be tolerated and will be deleted. Members who persist with attacks risk being banned from the site.

Keep any questionable materials off of the message boards and to yourself. Porno and over the top stuff will be deleted.

Posts placed in the wrong folder of the message board will be relocated by either an administrator or a moderator.

We have a “Members Only” criteria. There is more available at our web site.

Regards,

GQSMOOTH
