this is a list of those that said they might or will come.
if you want to come, just add your name. if you can no longer come, please let us know as well. this is so that we know if everyone is there when its time to depart. ANYONE is welcome to come, we will meet at 830am (weather permitting. at this point there is a chance of rain.) we will leave at approx 845am
we will meet at the SHELL not the mobil. it is located just past 595 going north on flamingo. Tooshort pointed out that it might be a little tough getting all of us accross flamingo safely if we leave from mobil. (he's right :cus: )

Thanks for taking the reins on this Blade, if I'm well enough to ride by Monday- I'll be there.
I live up that way so I would meet you in South Bay or another conducive spot.

Just wondering, Is anyone else riding 2-up or am I the only one bringing their better half ? I may be bringing my son with me if nobody minds a 600rr tagging along. I am gonna try to talk him into riding my wifes shadow but I don't think he will. He just got the new plastic on the 600 after a highside and he wants to ride it. Shadow is much more comfortable, but nobody listens to the old man.

More than likely, my other half will be on this ride, 2 up, so you won't be alone

for those of you who do not have a sunpass......the toll is $1.50
please have exact change so that we can collect it and have one rider pay the toll for everyone.

blade - i will talk to you about the whole toll thing and the sunpass.
it really has to be either;
everyone on thier own to pay (sunpass or money) and get thru or everyone pays the 1.50.
the toll person is supposed to count the bikes as they all go thru and won't know who has sunpass and who doesn't. not to mention, if they don't know how to keep the gate up, i have discovered a "trick" to that. hehehe

Rich,
Sure that would be great, although I have to play it by air right now. I havent heard from the rest of the crew up here, but over the weekend I'll try and rally the troops.

I can attest to the "trick"-Funny stuff
Anyway-I agree-Our trip to HDL worked out perfectly with D and I up front paying for all-IMHO (like I ever had a humble opinion) that's the way to go
Denise-I think I posted this before, but let me know where your folks are coming from-maybe we can hook up on the way there

Thanks Gonzo but I was hoping to catch up with the group somewhere around the South Bay area. I'm coming off a week long illness and the ride is gonna be long enough as it is.

i think stopping in south bay at the main light at the gas station (SE corner) is the best place. the town is so small there are only 2-3 gas stations.
what say all?

Ride is going to Clewiston via snake road, I think that is half way across Alligator alley, then north through Seminole reservation and back east to Clewiston, US 27 straight shot back. Did I get this right?
Distance is between 150 - 200 miles if that is what you are asking. Time depends on pace I have done same ride on my superhawk in just over 3 hours and on the X in 5, saw lots of things I never noticed while riding the hawk or CBR, was going way too fast to see anything but road. This will be a cool ride don't worry about time and distance, or even where. Time to just relax and have fun. As you can see I have no life that is why I am on computer when I should be riding.

too funny too short.....
and that is the correct route.
steve and anyone else in palm beach will meet us at South Bay.
if some people want to make a longer ride, after food and socializing, i was going to head east with the palm beachers and eventually down A1A
see ya on monday

So 8:30AM at Shell on Flamingo
But if we go to South Bay, then what time approx and where does that let us ride with the group? Seems like it would be South Bay to Fort Lauderdale?
And since I plan my rides around restaurants is there any idea where lunch might be? Or are you (we) not eating? Maybe I should bring my own food.
P.S Steve, sorry to hear you have been ill. Its not contagious by contact is it? I have felt a little queasy since seeing you at the Golden Corral. LOL.

I just relized that Snake Road is west of Clewiston, and certainly sure that it's west of South Bay. Hummmmmmm time to rethink my meeting spot. I guess Denise thought that they were taking 27 up.

Suggestion: How bout you guy's take 27 up here so us Palm Beachers can get some riding time in with you, and take Snake Road back home south?

If we did go up 27 we could be in southbay by 9:30 with no problem. After we meet up it is only about 15 minutes to Clewiston. What would the plan be after that?

Hey, I see that ya'll are wanting to leave at 8:30am. I would like to go, but I live up here in Vero Beach. I don't know this place where we are to meet. I need directions. I will be coming down 95 south. Also what is the latest ya'll will wait? Can you wait for me?
Hey Rich, I will be there.

You double posted on me.
Easiest way is:
Get up real early
Take Turnpike or 95 South until you get to 595 (its the Fort Lauderdale Airport exit) but go west away from the airport about 4 or 5 miles. Get off at Flamingo Road and go North at the bottom of the ramp (right turn) then get ready to make an immediate left turn into the Shell station. It is hidden behind some trees and can be hard to see if you don't look right at it.
