Hi Everyone

Hondo here. I am up in Foxboro, MA and ride in RI with some regularity. I was hoping to get some insight from the RI VTX'rs as to which roads down there offer good scenerey, good twisties, and decent road surface. I have done Rt 102 from RT 2 to the chicken place and RT 101. I am curious about RT 3, 165, 94 and 100. Any advice you have to offer would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

Hondo

Hondo,

Rich (Poison) is the official RI knower of all places and roads and the resident expert on listing mapquest directions.

I usually setup some rides, but they are roads that I have gone looking for when riding myself and don't know the names or route numbers of most of them.

One good road with some twist to it is 201 in CT. Take Route 3 South in Rhode Island to Route 165. When you go by Beach Pond into Connecticut stay on Route 165 until you see Route 201 going to the left. Take the left on 201 which eventually ends at Route 2 near Foxwoods Casino. There are some turns on Route 201 that almost turn at 90 degrees so be aware.

Have fun.

Hondo,

Did you get on 201 in CT from 165 to Route 2?

We are heading out this week for CatsCade 05, a bike thing in the Catskills, and then it is off to Americade for the following week so I won't be around to get any rides together for a couple weeks.

After we get back I'll see what I can come up with and post something, to see if anyone is interested in a ride, hope you can make it.

went RI 14 to CT 49 S to 216 to 201. 201 is very nice. I especially like that view of the farm on the left with some very large lake/resevoir in the background. I think that was on 201.

Thanks for the tips.
