Anybody else go?

I went, was a great day. Alot of bikes and good people. Really enjoyed myself.

On the down side, saw a fellow VTX rider get hurt on the way down to DC. A huge group of riders was merging onto 295 from MD 198 Laurel ramp. A bunch of bikers were hauling ass just to slow down real quick for the back-up of bikes on 295. Well this a-hole came flying down on his harley and ran into this girl on a C model VTX. She flew into a brick wall that was to her right, was hurting pretty bad. One of the guys I was riding with works for the county as a medic, stopped to help, called for help and got everything under control. He said she'll be ok, might have some broken ribs among other injuries. Thankfully she'll live to ride another day

I was in that large group that was merging on to 295. I ride with a group of mostly Jewish riders out of Baltimore. We had hooked up with a very large groups of veterans who are part of a veterans motorcycle club. We headed down 198 and then merges onto southbound 295. This group was way organized. They had leaders front and rear and blockers running up to block traffic merging onto 295 and other cross roads all the way down our route until we arrived at the Pentagon lot. The group leader had cautioned people to be very careful about speeding up only to slow down.

They had arranged for a group to stop traffic on 295 southbound so that we could merge on down the road. While at the Pentagon the leader of the group announced that two bikes went down, one person was sent by helicopter to the hospital and the other was sent by ambulance.

I hope they are both OK.

It was quite a day.

I was there with a group of 20 bikes from the eastern shore.Thank God we did'nt have any or see any accidents.But on the way back had a car cut across our group to make an exit,almost hit two of our guys.had a great time,saw more bikes than i could ever imagine.My head and ears are still rumbling,lol.Took lots of pictures,even took two short video's with the digital camera.Saw a ton of X's.Can't wait til next year!
