got mine at New England Cycleworks in Groton, Ct. i wouldn't ever go to Razee's again where i had bought my vstar before the VTX.

Just to offer an opposing point of view, I've had very good luck at Razee's. They're service guys are very good, though sometimes a bit slow. The do seem to have gotten better about scheduling service than they used to be.

Bottom line, I'll go there again.

glad to see they may have changed. when had vstar from them i couldn't get a date for maintenance unless was 3 months in advance and who knows how many miles you'll have in 3 months. groton is now closer to me anyways. think i will head towards razees on friday while checking different dealerships for a reasonably priced skid lid (need a 2nd for myself when Deb and i go to laconia on 17th since both must have lids on going thru MA).

Well, I'll give ya that, you still need to book appointments well in advance. But they've been better than they used to be about getting the work done when they say they will.

Several years ago I got extremely miffed at them for taking 2 days longer to work on my bike than they said they would. I had that appointment booked 3 months in advance (by my choice, not theirs), and even waited 2 days after they said it would be done to call and check on the progress. After all that, they didn't even do all the work they were supposed to. I raised a stink and swore I'd never go back.

Then I broke down a few years ago and bought a bike from 'em anyway, and they seemed to have gotten their act together. Then I traded that for the VTX last year, and they've been treating me like royalty.

Of the major shops in the area (non-Harley shops, anyway) , I think Razee is the most trustworthy. And most people know it, which is why it's impossible to get service there on short notice. If I had my druthers, I'druther they tell me they can't get to it for 3 months than to have to wait an extra week because they over-booked themselves.

I went to Razees and have nothing but good to say about them.Yes you do have to plan in advance for your service. Recently one of their mechanics got busted up on a dirt bike and has been out of commision.Compared to some of the horror stories I've read on the board about other Dealers and what they charge etc. I have got to say that I have always been treated fairly there. They don't try to rip you off as far as price for service etc. and everything has always been on time.
