Steve,
I was coming-up Mt Hope road behind your house when this rabbit jumped out of the brush and lodged himself between my engine guard and floor board. I was going about 30 mph and I was trying to push him off with my foot. When he finally disimbarked, I looked up and I was at a curve but recoverd well. I learned somthing from that.

Lucky it wasn't anything bigger than a rabbit

Yea, we (wife and I) encountered a Duck that was dumped by his wife and wanted to kill himself. Thats all we can figure for why he was standing in the middle of River Road just staring at us as we approached, just daring us to hit him. He even turned to watch us as we drove around him. lol. Don't know if he survived the whole day, but we cleared him ok. :)

Wow Ragman!
What is it with you and wildlife?? I meant to ask you if your hawk tried to attack you again, on your last trip to PAX. You're a dangerous man to ride with, but I'll risk it. You are such a good source of rags.

Glad you recovered, John.
The rabbits are thicker than the deer are. We even have a nest right in the middle of my mowed back yard, and we have a DOG at home! Those darned wabbits ain't 'feared of nothin' !! My wife has a little wire cage around the nest, to keep our dog out but still lets the mother wabbit in to take care of the young 'uns. The dog got one of the rabbit pups before we put the cage up...didn't eat it, just playing with it.
You didn't get the mother bunny, because she's still around taking care of her brood.....
Sure you won't change your mind about going to the meet n greet this Saturday? I'll be leaving here about 10:45.....might be one of our last chances to ride together before the Homecoming!! (Guess you've seen the 4-sale sign on the house by now.....)

Boy - this is one time I was glad I was caged. Used to live in St. Pete, FL and worked in Tampa - took this looonnng bridge back and forth everyday. One day driving home, a group of three pelicans flew over the bridge. Now, if you have never really met a pelican, let me tell ya - they are BIG suckers. And I can testify that they hold a LOT of bird sh**! This bird let loose a cloud of crap just before I passed under - the splatter covered the left front headlight, nearly the entire left side of the car and naturally I had all windows down and my arm out the window. I had pelican sh** on my arm, shoulder, face, glasses - even on the dashboard. There was crap on the back seat! And you know what pelicans eat. They eat fish. Live fish. But then they die and pass through and.... you can only imagine the putrid stench that not only filled my car but covered half my my face as well. NOT to mention, this is a four lane bridge - two in each direction, during rush hour, 55 - 60 mph, nearly bumper to bumper - how I didn't cause a pile up I'll never know. I hope that NO ONE ever has to experience that on a motorcycle. Being caged helped but it sure was a NASTY experience!
