I'll be there unless it's pouring down rain and obviously too crappy. But if it's questionable I'll be there

I'm planning on going but if the rain is falling I'll pass. I don't mind a little rain but this is a somewhat ambitious (4-6 hours?) ride in the wet.

Has anyone checked the weather forcast for Sunday?? It doesn't look very promising but I will be there if its not raining. Lets hope for the best.

Alternate plan........
We all meet an Olson's Auto Repair, 251 West 7th in Eugene. RAIN OR SHINE. When you arrive just honk and I will open the door to let you in out of the rain. I'll have the heat on and a pot of hot coffee. You can stay as long as you like to warm up for your ride back to Portland. I'll be polishing my bike in hopes of good riding weather someday soon.

I think it will be one of those mixed, very light sprinkles every once in awhile days. See ya there Dennis. Do you know the Downtown area? Do you need anyother direction on how to get to my shop?
I might make it, have to see if I get my work done before I get to go play.

As the time aproaches, the weather lad just does not want to commit. The weather model shows rain all over N. oregon by 9:00 AM. Then the weather boy says showers and sunbreaks. Gee ya think? Well, I don't know if my lady is willing to ride in this perpetual juice, but if the rain is scattered, I'll be there. If it looks like it's over 50% falling ice water, I'll pass. Guess this is a morning call Brothers. Keeping my fingers crossed........ Sundance :x

Right on Manwhor, 8:00 AM check in thread it is. I was thinking that you meant that 8:00 AM deadline was for today! I'm going to watch the weather closely tonight to try to get a better handle on the forcast. You know, I'd ride in the rain all the time, I've got the gear, but the two things that deter me is the lost visability, and the traction. We all have put our bikes in a 2 wheel drift. It's good practice, and fun too. But on a wet road, you get off center and your gone, dumped, pain, repair bills. You get the idea. Some of these guys and gals go riding around in the snow! Then take photos to prove it! Then they try to go driving on elks and stuff! You'll have to excuse me, I'm just not that hardcore. I'll go driving on cats or rabbits but not elks. Later metzler smokers, Sundance. :x

I'm with ya sundance, I'm not a "rain" rider lover. But if I get up, and the clouds don't look dark, but lighter and burn offable, and it's not pouring already, I'm going for it. If it looks bad down there, and you decide it too damn wet, it's cool bro, just say your not going in the "check in" thread. If it works out that a group of us portlanders showed up, and it's not happening down there, we'll just do a local ride around here somewhere

Steve:
I guess a high miler like you will be in Eugene Sunday rain or shine. I'll have the coffee on for you. By the way, I guess I need 37 600 mile services. After your ride tomorrow take off on your own and ride another 240 miles. Then drop me a note and let me know how it was. Pictures are always good. LOL

Hey now it's just that I haven't seen you since Crater Lake. I must miss you. I actually don't like riding in the rain myself. I have much more fun when it is dry. Will watch the weather then decide.
By the way thanks for the coffee offer.
