Had a woman at work tell me she thought my bike was "pretty". (whatever) She said my husband has a Harley too. I have never seen a Harley in that color. Is that a custom paint job? I said yeah its called HONDA. She just stared at me and walked away.....As I was rolling. Why does everything have to be about Harley?

Kim I had the same thing happen to me,I was checking the air in my tires and to guys walked over and one of them asked me "boy them Indians are building nice bikes" I said yap they call this one a HONDA !! Then they tried to not look stupid and then gave me complements about the bike.So I just stated to them "Boys this Honda has 1800 cc's and will start everyday, I ate 2 Harley's for breakfast today" they just walked away. Harley has been around so long and the spend $$$$$$ on promotion and everything you can think of the logo goes on. So all people see in stores and everywhere is the Harley logo. Honda just builds great bikes not image, and I think they should do a little more in promoting their bikes. One thing to remember Honda is made in America Harley is really made in korea and Mexico. Tell her that next time.

My two cents...

-The VTX was designed & developed by Americans, in California.
-When Harley couldn't figure out how to make the V-Rod engine, they went to SAAB engineering. (literally, went to Europe for help)

-Honda employs 20,000 Americans, in America.
-Harley employs 8,000 people, world-wide.
