Hi guys. My name is Steve and I ride with a club called South Jerz Riderz. We're helping put together the first annual Philadelphia Ride for Kids. The proceeds from this ride benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and goes to research, treatment, counseling, and alot more to benefit children and their families who suffer from brain cancer. It'a being held on Sunday, September 18th and we depart from the Imax Theater in King of Prussia, PA at 9:30. I don't know how many of you can get to Phila but I wanted to post it for you guys just in case. It's going to be a nice ride and alot of fun.

We have a celebrity rider that's going to be with us that day. Michele Smith from Speed TV's American Thunder. Feel free to attend the pre-ride party being held at BMW Motorcycles of Cherry Hill in Cherry Hill, NJ and get an autograph and picture taken with Michele as well. This party is being held the day before at the Cherry Hill dealership. If anyone doesn't know who Michele Smith is this might help. This is one of my favorites:

Let me know if you guys have any questions. Take care.

I wanted to post another reminder that this ride is coming up. From the feedback we've gotten from other clubs and the community, we're thinking we might have over a thousand bikes come out Sunday, September 18th. Please try to attend. It's going to be a great time!

Desimone BMW Motorcycles of Cherry Hill, NJ is going to have a pre-ride party at their dealership Saturday the 17th the day before. Michele Smith will be there all day signing autographs and taking pictures. Desimone finally put it up in their events section of their website:

The Ride for Kids is primarily a Honda sponsored event, but is mostly supported by Goldwing riders. I'd love to see everyone with their X come out and give them a run for their money!

Thanks again for your time and take care.

Oh one more thing for you Delaware guys. There's a rally point down there for you so you can ride up to King of Prussia in a group:

PowerSports East
620 Pulaski Hwy
Bear, DE 19701

Get there early. The ride at King of Prussia starts at 9:30.

I wanted to let you know that we had this ride and it went off better than we could have expected. We broke the organization record for most bikes in attendance and most money raised for a first time event. We had over 630 bikes show up and raised more than 67,000 dollars for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.

Michele Smith was in attendance and was signing autographs and takeing pictures with plenty of people in the crowd. She was by my side practically the entire time and I tell you she's got a heart of gold.

If anyone wants to see some pics of the event, we have some from several sources:

I don't know if any of you were there but if you were thank you for the support. For those who didn't make it... sucks being you because you missed a great day!
