3rd Annual Freedom Rally June 24-26

VietNam Vets M/C Chapter V Mississippi is hosting the 3rd Annual Freedom Rally June 24 - 26 at The Barn 12 miles north of Oxford.

I will be posting a flyer for this rally when I get home from riding tonight.

No attitudes, guns or minors allowed.

Directions:
From Oxford, take Hwy 7 north across the river. Turn right on Old Hwy 7. Look for Robert Ford Road.

From Holly Springs, take Hwy 7 south about 12 miles. Turn left on Hwy 310 and go to the end. Turn left on Old Hwy 7 and look for Robert Ford Road.

Watch for signs. Listen for scooters.

Admission:
$10 per person on a scooter
$12 per person in a cage

Come early. Stay all weekend. Clothing optional.

Yeah. You have to leave your gun outside the gates, but you don't have to wear your pants. ...that's a bad image I don't need in my head. Nightmares! Ack!

Not that this is the best place to post the info, but I just got back from Wynne, AR. A friend and I rode over to listen to Mr. Phill's VTXExhaust system. Whoa, Nellie! Them is some nice sounding pipes. When I get my set put on you boys with the Sideburners are going to be weeping in your Wheaties. :shock:

Hey Guys I have been to the first two, This is no rally for the faint hearted I would not bring you wife and or Girl friend if they are easly offended, Over all its a good rally and I had a good time!! If you guys want to ride by Batesville one your way down there I will ride over there with you all!!

Well I guess it's my own naivite about these sort of things as I only started riding last July. My girl has been riding for about 4 years now and she echoed cookiemonsters sentiments. Even the Southern Cruisers she rode with over in AR would not go to a motorcycle club rally. She said she would be afraid to go. Kind of takes the fun out of it all. My apologies for taking up Bitbrains time to get this posted. :oops:

No harm in posting the information. I'm sure there are those among us who would like to 'revel in their abandon' at The Barn. I spotted it on the MidSouthBikersCalendar MSN group. That's where I found the info on the OB Poker Run we rode in, too.

I don't have a link to that board here at work, but I'll try to remember to post it from home.

It turns out that I work with one of the Vets who hosted this event. He said it isn't nearly as bad as we may have heard and extended the invitation for us to attend next year.

Of course it's not the Southern Baptist Convention, but I doubt anyone will turn into a pillar of salt...

May well check it out the rally next year. I really do have a strong feeling for these guys.
