Scheduled get togethers

Kenny and I were talking and would like the throw the idea out there for weekly or monthly get togethers. Other area groups gather at Sonic here in Crestview on Monday nights. Just to talk about bikes, accessories, etc. We were thinking of doing the same and wanted to see what kind of reaction we could get. We could start off with first or last Friday of the month meeting at Sonic or anywhere for that matter. Give me your input. If we have a good turn out, or if everyone wanted to we could make it weekly or bi-monthly, something like that. One of the groups in this area gets together every Monday night at a different Sonic and they call it "Crome Night". I think we could do the same.

Reply with what night you think is best, place, and fequency. Let try to get something organized. There are a lot of us X riders around here, lets do something as a group.

I don't know if you guys are interested in moving the location around from time to time. If you are, Panama City has a cool little thing they do on the first Friday of each month. They close of the main drag downtown (Harrison Ave), and usually have a couple of bands playing, restaurants/shops stay open late, beer vendors on the street, classic cars/bikes on display etc. It's a pretty good time.

I don't know if that's too far for the Crestview crowd - about 90 miles.

Any X'ers live in/near PC?

Chad, a monthly Friday night would work best for me. I don't know about getting over there more frequently than that. It sounds good, but I don't know the area well enough to do a traveling location. One site, every time would be my suggestion.

That Panama City deal sounds awesome. I bet it is a great time. The one reason why I like to move it around is because it is too far sometimes for people to come here and it wouldn't hurt to go somewhere else too. Maybe first Friday night of the month at P'City and the 15 of the month in Crestview or something. Just throwning that out there. I know I would like to go to P'Cola to party out. It may be 90 miles to get there, but isn't that what we are about........riding? ( I think I can make it in an hour or less)

Ever been to "The Outpost" in Freeport? Live band, bike parking only, about mid way between Crestview and Panama...Some food, beer, lots o' people...been there a couple of times, has sort of a '70's feel to the place...really packs out on weekends, LOTS of bikes of all types. That Panama city thing sounds good to me too and not too far away...maybe do both?

How about we pick a set time and place to meet (Fri, 1800 @ Sonic) and then ride as a group from there to wherever we planned for that day? This way it would become a routine for us to get into. :?:

OK, Friday, 8 July @1900 (7pm for non military folks) at the Sonic in north Crestview. We will meet, hang out for a few then take off down HWY 90, 331 south and check out the OUTPOST in Freeport. (Randy you will have to lead the way, I've never been there.) Spread the word and lets try to get a good turn out. See you there.

The Outpost is way cool!!! I've never been there on a Friday, but I usually make it a point to stop there on the weekends.

They usually have a band playing in the afternoon on Sat/Sun. The pizza smells pretty good too.

The road to the Outpost (between 331 and 20) is a nice road.

I will be there SHOW... and a mutual friend is coming too. Looking forward to it before "Dennis the Menace" gets here later in the weekend! :D Damn, I am sick of hurricanes. Chad, Kevin and I should be there by 7-7:30... so don't split too soon! Shoot me yours or Kenny's cellphones again. I cannot find them anywhere in my paper junk!

Just wanted to remind anyone that was interested that next Friday (August 5th) is the next Downtown PC "Friday Fest". If any of you guys are planning on riding into town, let me know so we can meet up.
