Well.......if rainman wants to leave Clinton at 7 AM, we aughta be out of
De Witt by 6:30. How bout we just meet at the truckstop on 30 at about 6:15. That'l save you 16 miles cause I'm just gonna come back up to 30 anyway.

I'm not sure where the truck stop is but it can't be that hard to find., but that will work and I will have my cell phone. Are you going to J+P on Tues?

The truckstop is on the south side of town (De Witt) on 30 and the road I live on. (first exit east of 61)

I'll be in Minnesota on tuesday night so my chances of being there are slim.

Dave,

I see you'll be coming up I-39. There's a gas station/convenience store at exit 115. Its a good place to meet up. There'll be me and one other guy. What time do anticipate being there? Or pick another place.

We'll also need to gas up before hitting Doyles.

I'll be off the board til late Thursday night. I'll check this board or my e-mail then.

Woot!

That is pretty much the route we took coming home from Colorado last week. There is only 1 toll you will need to pay on I88. Not sure about north of Rockford though. There is construction on I80 in Davenport but at the time you roll through, it shouldn't be a problem.

I sent a PM to Dave letting him know that if any of you need a place to crash (friday or saturday) that my place is open. Just let me know and I'll make sure there is enough place to crash.

I think you folks making the trip is an awesome gesture. Looking forward to meeting you all.

As long as you can't see yourself......I'd call them a win!!!!

I'm trying to psyche myself up for Saturday. I had to pick up a little work for another guy, that's gonna put me home around 5:00 AM. The rider of the blurple sage don't know if he can pull it off without a nap. I'll have to see how it goes but I doubt I'm gonna make it. You might aughta get a meet place hammered out in Clinton that Dave can find or give him good directions to the store...... this sucks.

Auggie

I'll take note of your meeting place just in case, but don't expect me. I'll start as early as I can friday afternoon and bust my chops and see what time I get home, but right now, it don't look good. heh heh heh....I'll be in North Chicagoland Friday night so i'll be closer then.

A guy's wife just had a kid last night and he's dumping off runs to be home. I couldn't say no, cause next time it might be me who wants time off. It's only 2 hours of local work, but still 2 more than I expected.

None of us made it. Dave Shady's grandmother had a heart attack, Auggie had to work and I didn't feel like it running solo. Would have been a very long day.

I was very upset about missing the memorial. Maybe sometime soon we 4 can do one of our own to honor them in our area.

Gradma is going better amazingly,,, time will tell as far as damage to her mind and body....

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers

Good to hear, we'll be thinking of her and praying for her improvement.

We missed you today, we'll get together again soon and do it up right. We needed a leader like you. Neither one of us wanted to lead so we almost ended up playing cards all day.
