Hello La. Xer's.
Reid, a Slidell X'er, I believe that he is registered on the board, went down today. :( They were traveling N on Ms Hwy 43, about 2 miles shy of Ms Hwy 13 South of Columbia Ms.
Lets just say that the High Side is 98% fatal, well, he is a 2%er.
Damp streets, S turn, over shot. Went into the grass. It appears that he used some, not a lot, of brake, but in the grass they locked. Obviously couldn't feel it, then a patch of asphalt drive strip while somewhat sideways, then over they went. Fortunately, toward the ditch. He went deep, the bike flipped twice according to witnesses, over him and they came to rest next to each other in a water filled ditch. Other riders pulled him out of the water then the bike. True biker, "How's the bike?". :mcrider:
He was transported to the Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Seems to have some type of minor to mild shoulder injury, and a chipped bone in his ankle. He will need to see an Orthopedist Monday. He is home, and I transported his bike to the shop, where the Srvc Mgr. said that it appeared that it will probably be totaled.
Good or bad, depends on how you look at it. If you would keep him in your prayers, or thoughts we, and his family would appreciate it. His email is q8ball35@yahoo.com OH, a side note. The bike was almost completely submerged. My buddy that stood it up, lights still on, hit the starter and got it out of the ditch under power. Try that with a Harley... Then when I got there, about an hour and a half later, started right up and rode it up the ramps into my pick up...
