According to the latest weather reports, Saturday is supposed to be pretty nice. So Bob, would you be willing to lead a ride on the loop you had so much fun on last Sunday? I will be there for sure, anyone else interested???

What time do you want to meet Satruday at Shari's for breakfast Dennis? And anyone and everyone else? The lump on my temple is alot smaller. I'm ready! I can't supply screaming bike riders or smashed up Harleys for sure, but it will be fun anyway!

Hey Sundance, it would be great to have you and Pi along. Since this is a long ride we need to get started from Eugene early so I thought we could meet for breakfast at Shari's off I-5 at Beltline around 9:30 a.m. Bob said he is so happy to have us come down to Eugene that he will buy us all breakfast! Probably lunch also! Give me a call and we can arrange some place to meet for the ride down there.

Dennis is meeting me at Sheri's at 9:30 Saturday morning, if the weather holds out. This Shari's is located at I-5 and Beltline Rd. in Springfield. If you are coming south on I-5 (And what XRider wouldn't be?) you take the Beltline Rd. exit heading east towards Springfield. You will see Sheri's ahead on you on the left as you cross over I-5.
This is a 188 mile ride. The first 90 miles is on a very little traveled road through the coast range. I rode it last weekend as some of you may know. The road is in good shape with smooth pavement. Bring your cameras. You just never know what we'll see.
Dennis just called me and told me he already posted this!!! Damn It!! Brad said I could be in charge :badabing:

Sure sorry I can't make this one I've wanted to take that trip since you talked about it last year, Bob.
We'll be over to the coast Saturday/Sunday, have tickets to see Sinbad at the Casino. Yea Warden I know........
I'd hihly recommend this ride to anyone thinking about going out this weekend; with Bob and Dennis leading it's sure to be a blast!
Have a good time and be sure to snap some pictures!

Hi Greg, Yea, lets meet up and ride down to Eugene together. I live in Clackamas and am planning on leaving my place at 7:30 a.m. We could meet at the rest stop on I-5 at Wilsonville at around 7:50 if you like. It is the rest stop just past the main Wilsonville exit. Give me a call Friday night at 503-786-2431 and we'll go from there.
Jerry, Autumn, Sundance and Pi: Are you guys still planning on going on this ride??? If so, Greg and I can meet up with you also somewhere on I-5 and we ride in can take Duckville as a group. They'll never know what hit them! Let me know....

Thats a good ? Jim. Sounds Like I will be going and Tim and Connie as well. Not sure who else? Meeting at K-mart sounds like it is the Salem hook up so lets try to figure out what time will work to get us into Eugene at Bob's 9:30 breakfast. Bob maybe you can through in some advice - How long is the ride from Salem to Eugene?

03-11-2004, 11:30 PM
I think it is like 60 or more miles to Eugene, so about 45 minutes to 1 hour . I am not sure how far the Belt line exit is, but I think we would need to leave K-Mart by 8.15am to not be too rushed. let me know what will work best. Sounds like the weather should be good.

K-mart 8 - 8:15 sounds good. then we will leave as soon as the northern group strolls in. We can save our hellos and howdys for breakfast in Eugene. What does everyone think?
c5vetteman
03-12-2004, 01:17 AM
Salem in about 60 miles. An hour is an easy time to make. Beltline is the first overpass you come to when you enter Eugene. Take the second exit. the one that take you to Springfield. You will see Sheri's ahead of you on the left as you cross over I-5. Nothing to it. You will no doubt be riding with Dennis. Just follow him. Dennis can smell out a place to eat for miles away.

I told my buddy that I would meet him shortly after 8:30 at the Corvallis exit where we meet when we play golf. I am going to leave around 8:20 or so to get there. If everyone wants to leave by then we can ride together, otherwise we'll hook up with you at the Corvallis exit.
Autumn and Jerry.....are you going to hook up with the rest of the gang? If so, and you want to meet us down there, we are going to be in the (I think its a) Arco station on the SouthWest side of the hywy 34 exit heading into Corvallis.
