The following e-mail showed up on my computer. From the looks of the address list that was attached everyone else got this also.
I do not know who Richard is but I suspect that he is eather a prank or a member of some MC. I wrote him back..............
HI Richard:
Thanks for writing. A couple of us, myself being one, had a discussion with a couple of brother speed members last summer. Their colors are black and white. One of the "Brothers" was named Big Jake or Big Jim or something like that. I gave him my phone # and he was going to call me with instructions on how to get this patch thing straight. He never called. If you could set up a meeting with the confederation of clubs reps that would be very helpful. We, the Xriders, are not a motorcycle club, we are a riding group. We are a bunch of guy and girls who get together on weekends and ride our motorcycles. We pay no dues, have no officers, and have no meetings. We have no territorial claims nor do we want any. All we want to do is get together with friends and have a good time riding.
Thanks for your help

I have not gotten a reply yet. When and if I do I'll see about setting up a meeting with this "confederation of clubs" and see what they have to say about our plans. When and if I get a reply form "Richard" I'll let everyone know.
Bob
The following is Richards email if anyone has not seen it.
I am a member of X Riders yahoo group even though I
don't have a VTX.
In regards to your patch that you want to wear on your
backs, you may want to take the time to go to the
Confederation of Clubs and just out of respect for
their organizations and/or your health show them what
you have in mind and ask for their blessing. I am a
member of HUB City A.B.A.T.E. and when we made our own
patch one of the final, yet most important hoops we
jumped through was to take it to the confederation.
Please take this warning to heart as the colors you
are have are the same as Brother Speed and they may
not take to kindly to you using them. Not all club
members will retaliate against you, however, are you
willing to bet your life for a patch.
PLEASE TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION BEFORE YOU SEW
THEM ON.
If you need help getting to the Confederation of Clubs
I would be willing to get that info to you.
