I've always been curious if other OregonXriders are limited to what week end day they can ride as I am

You need to add another choice, like, I can ride either day and don't prefer one day over the other.

Who in the group was the one who voted on the poll that could only ride on Saturdays?
Just curious
I think we should try to keep our rides to Sundays just so we don't leave anybody out, it looks like the majority would rather ride on Sunday, but of couse it really depends on the weather. I really prefer small group rides (<5 bikes), it seems easier and safer to keep the whole group togeather.
My 2 cents. 8)

I would LOVE it if we made our set group get togethers like the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month. Because of the weather, there would always be a few Saturday rides happening.
Besides, I'm still on heavy anti-depressants since missing out on the Big Bob Tour. As it turned out, Sunday was everybit as nice and had we initialy schedualed it for Sunday, I coulda made it :(
Something to ponder

I feel for you Bard. It was a good ride Saturday. The problem is, this time of year if you pass up a nice Saturday you risk missing out on the weekend being that Sunday may or maynot be a good riding day. I'm all for getting as many people involved as possiable. But I don't know if we should pass up good riding days in hope that the next day will not be a cold wind filled rain driven mess. Or we could have the best of both worlds and just plan rides for Saturday and Sunday. If only half the people can make each day then Pi will have her small riding group and everyone can pick the day that works for them if they can not make both days.

I agree with ya Bob, but if the weather looks promising for both days, maybe we could lean heavily in the Sunday direction

You can pleaes all the riders some of the time, and you can please some of the riders all of the time, but you can't please all of the riders all of the time. I think you should ride on the days you can, but don't not ride on the days someone else can't. I had a great ride Sat., and Bob did a good job as the group leader. Ride as often as you can. :D

In the words of the great Rodney whats-his-name, "Can't we all just get along"?
Didn't mean to pi$$ you off Dennis, I don't mind riding Sat or Sun or Mon or Tue or Wed or Thur or Fri. I just thought... What was I thinking? I'm not trying to exclude anybody. I just stated that I prefer a smaller group on the road it's just the way I feel, like when the four of us cut away from the pack on the I-5 jet home on Sunday. My opinion dosen't mean diddly scwatt. And really I'm contradicting myself when I say "we should lean toward Sundays", because that's when the majority of people want to ride which would result in a larger group. I love being together with a large group when we stop and have a break and bull session, but I like having the manuverability of a small group on the road... am I babbaling? Anyway please don't take offence and forgive me if I've said anything stupid... I am blond you know!

Pi Darling, you did not pi$$ me off. That was meant for Bob for constantly refering to my age! Him and I will settle that after school sometime in the parking lot. Actually, Bob and I are very good friends and we are just giving each other a bad time. (Notice I didn't say hard time)
As for your opinion, it does matter. You are a very important part of this group so please don't take offense to anything I say. Your our token blond! (just kidding). I was just rambling on. Had a bad day at the barn! I just don't want to leave anybody out by saying we only will have group rides on one day or the other. I totally agree with you that Saturday's ride from Eugene to Salem was a blast and we couldn't have rode like a bunch of "Brads" if there was a large group. That kind of riding will have to be done when the time dictates it.
I really look forward to our group rides and getting together with all you folks. I love everyone of you and consider you all my family. Even Brad!
So, please don't think I am mad at anyone because I am not. I appologize for making you feel bad.

I like to ride when ever I can, I enjoy everyone in the group, have meant some really nice people. I know I havent been on alot of the rides, but the ones I have been on I enjoyed fully. I like Sundays as this gives Lisa a chance to go, if she wishes to, I also like Saturdays ( kick myself in the a$$ for missing the BIG BOB RUN last Saturday) but had to finish a project on the house. Hope I can make more rides this year and meet more new people just my .02....................WARDEN

As a peace offering to my buddy Dennis I deleted all referances to his advanced age. I will never again mention that Dennis has been on earth longer than I have! In fact he has been here longer than most rocks. But I would not say and will not say anything like that. And I raise my glass of Geratol is a solute to my pal Dennis. Thank god we are both younger then Jerry!!!!

To All My Xer Buddies.
OK, I started all this Sat/Sun crap  . It was only out of feeling sorry for myself for missing out on half of the "schedualed" group rides by having some on Sat and some on Sun :( . I've actually b$tched about this subject for long enough now. So, no more "polls", no more trying to sneakily convert our group to a Sunday only gig  . All I ask is that the group throw as many group rides twards Sundays as possible so I can come too.
Thanks again for all the B-day wishes Y'all
Man Whor over and out
I'm with you Pi, like a large group at the picnic area but 2 to 8 when riding, less confusion , more likely to keep it together.
That being said, I have actually (Only once in 40 years of riding) gone to Reno and ridden in that crowd. But I went and came back with a small group of 8.
All days are fun for me , I work lots of week ends and go to art things when I can as well which usually happen on week ends but if this group is on the road near by I will try to be there no matter what day it is!
