Any vtx riders on the sunshine coast Just bought mine last week am very happy with the bike as i say to those that say why didnt ya buy a harley my response is I want to ride it not fix it haha :roll: :lol:

Got any pics of your X?? What is it - 1800 or 1300?? I live in Bris but would be good to get a few of us from this board together for a ride and a chat. I have seen Tuksters X and was impressed - am yet to ride with him yet tho so maybe we could arrange something in the near future. 8)

Bike is 1300 retro no major mods yet !! s/hand but a1 condition a few extras on it eg; backrest and rear floorboards,spotlights on front with led indicators, eagle on front guard but a fantastic colour met bronze
will post picks as soon as i learn how to .sometimes these computer things evade me haha :o :lol:

good onya rocko, I've got an '03 1300 and love it. I went for the black one as it's a little bit quicker than the orange ;)

I went out for a ride today. the weather was great and not too much traffic.

you'll enjoy your X and you will enjoy this site also. plenty of advice and interesting reading.

Hey beaker what does the bike sound like with the slash cuts as i'm not sure what to get all the american guy's say bubs sound deep PS bike looks like ya stole it off me mmmmm

Yeah the pipes are loud but I wouldn't buy the slashcuts - they hit the road when cornering with the lady on the rear. They sit lower on the bike than the stock pipes and now have a flat spot on the lower pipe from road rash.

I know a guy in Brisbane who has V&H Big Shots on his 1300 - they sound and look great and also sit higher than the Cobra slashcuts - these would be my choice if I were to buy again.

One other thing you HAVE to do is get rid of or fix is the stock seat - I ended up buying a Mustang Wide Vintage. There is a guy in Brisbane who modifies seats - John Moorehouse at Capalaba. I think it would cost you about half the price of buying a Mustang.

Hey Beaker Just brought a set V&H big shots brand new from a honda dealer in melbourne $ 500.00 will let you know hey they go ; ps no baffles so they should be nice and loud . :evil: :D

hey rocko - I've got bigshots and they are plenty loud enough. if yours don't have baffles they will probably be a little painful on the ears as I know my ears ring for about an hour after a 4 hour ride.

I paid $1150 for my bigshots, why were yours so cheap?

Chilli got em of Ebay as guy who brought them in melbourne paid deposit but never returned to pick them up so the shop put em on ebay and i was just f*%#ing lucky i guess !!!
