Ok guys, who's goin? Should be a great ride. It would nice to have a big turn out. I will be meeting Kenny in Niceville at the K-Mart parking lot between 7 -8am. Kickstands up at 8. This will be my last ride with you guys of the season.

Not sure if everyone knows or not but I am heading back to the desert for another tour of freedom fighting. I'll be gone for a few months and would love to have a big turn out for my last ride. I won't be back until after the New Year. I will miss everyone and my X. But when duty calls, I go. I will try to stay in touch with the site as much as possible if I can. Kenny, aka VXTKEEPER wil be the coordinator for rides and events in my absence. In case everyone didn't already know this; he is the co-coordinator for NWFlorida. So give him your support and lets have some good times.

(Weather permitting) I plan on joining in at the BP on 20 and 231 @ 9:00am. My wife will be on her bike as well. I couple of my riding buddies from work may tag along too.

What's the deal with the car show? I don't know if my honey will be too excited about spending a lot of time there - she'd rather be riding :lol:

Hey Carl I think we're going to ride first, Then those that want to go to the show can go, then those that want to ride some more can ride some more. I'm going to have to flip a coin because I want to do both. This will be Show's last ride with us for a while, he's headed back to the dessart for another tour. I'd like to make this a good ride for him. I wanted to run out to the Outpost this afternoon for a cold one but I here the thunder rolling in that direction. If you ever want to call if your in the area my number is 865-2882. Sometimes this site just doesn't work fast enough for us and it's just better to call.

Ok guys, with everyone heading out first thing Sat morning for Marianna, we are going to be skipping our scheduled Friday night Sonic meeting. Everyone get rested up and ready to go Sat. Some of us will be meeting in Niceville Sat am at 7:30 - 8. We will ride 20 to 231 and meet up with Mike for the ride north. We should be meeting them around 9am. Can't wait to see everyone there. Well I am back from my exile as the duty officer and looking forward to Saturday!!!! SHOW, it looks like there are NOT going to be bike categories at the show on Saturday so we can skip it. I think for the last jaunt, it is gonna be a riding and eating day. :D I will pick up the herd (I hope for a herd!) at the BP station south of 20 and 231 at 9am... and then we will hit some roads in Jackson, Calhoun and Washington counties. Chad, I think I will have Kevin with me as well. Going to use the same route I posted on the earlier thread and plan for lunch at the Mexican place in Chipley. Kenny, all in Florida... so you can work on that tan. See everyone at the BP Saturday morning!!!!!!

Anyone know if Wilbur is in town? It would be really cool to get him to make Chad's last ride before he deploys. He IS sort of a local celebrity for the VTX family and if he is in town he is up there near Ratsnake. I was just sort of "thinking" out loud....hahaha.

Okay, I had bad information. There IS a bike category at this local show on Saturday. Here is the info: The cost is $25.00 per entry. Registration is from 9am to 11am. Judging is from 12noon to 2pm. Winners are presented from 2pm to 3pm. The bike categories have not been finalized so I don't know if it is metrics against hogs or what. Anyway, we could always run back down 90 after our lunch in Chipley and do a quick peek at the show, if anyone wants to. The rain should start after lunch so we can make that call over lunch. I just wanted to let everyone know it was still happening. For casual readers, the local car/bike show is at the Jackson County Agricultural Center on highway 90, a couple miles west of Marianna.
