Coming to town

I will be coming to Destin from Memphis on Aug. 13 and staying till the 20th. I would like to meet a few of the guys from the board if ya'll are around. Where is a good place to hang out in that area? Is there a bike night in the middle of the week? Someone clue me in.

I'm not sure about Destin...

The Outpost isn't too far from Destin (~30 miles). It's pretty popular with bikers, especially on the weekends. It is located on 81 between 331 and 20 in Freeport.

Here in Panama City, the Roadhouse Grill does Bike Night on Wednesdays, and both Hooters locations do something on Thursday nights.

Also, Ms Newby's on Panama City Beach is a popular hangout.

There is an HD dealership in Ft. Walton, they can probably fill you in on events right in the Destin/Ft. Walton area.

Here in the Ft Walton/Niceville/Crestview area we try and get together at the Sonic in North Crestview on Monday and Friday nights at about 7pm. Nothing special, just get togther and talk bikes. We are heading over to a Car/Bike show in Marianna on the 20th. More than welcome to come along if you are still here.

Theres also the Hogs Breath saloon in Destin but not sure if they have any events.

The Sonic sounds good. How far is that from Ft Walton? How do I get there from Starcade Billiards? That is the only place I am familiar with in Ft. Walton

It's about 25 miles from Ft. Walton. If you are staying in Destin, come across the Mid-Bay bridge, turn left on HWY 20 into Niceville. Then take HWY 85 north about 15 miles north to Crestview. Go under I-10 and past HWY 90. Sonic is on your right hand side about 2 miles past Hwy 90.

I'm back in Memphis now. Got to meet VTXKeeper one night while I was in town. Super nice guy, enjoyed his company and we had a few beers with my Dad who decided to tag along on his Road King. Good times were had by all. Keeper, my Dad was pretty impressed with the rolling burnout on the way out! He loves it when I do that! Thanks for meeting up with us. Hope to catch more of you guys next year!
