View Full Version : Galena B&Bs or Hotels

Hey Folks,

My wife and I are looking for a good B&B / Hotel in Galena Il. We are visiting some friends in Cedar Rapids, IA and they suggested a stop in Galena. We have found "The Steamboat House" and the "Irish Cottage Hotel". They look nice online but... Anyone try these? Any comments?

Also, any other places (bike friendly) you would suggest?

When you going to be there? A large group of us WIVO's(Wisconsin/Illinois/VTX/Owners) are invading Galena this upcoming weekend the 20-21st. 8)

We stayed at Eagle Ridge a few times. It can be a little pricey, but was
really great. Good food,Great service.

Have dinner eiher at Backstreet chop+steakhouse,or a place called
fried green tomatoes,which is in an old insane asylumn.I think some of my
ex-in laws resided there.Both places are excellent!
