Sept. 11 Benefit Poker Ride in Burlington

2nd Annual Fire Prevention Benefit Ride Sponsored by EM Holt Vol. Fire Department. Sunday, September 11, 2005. Registration begins at 11:00 til 1:15 at EM Holt Fire Department, 2172 Bellmont-Alamance Rd., Burlington, NC 27215. $10.00 per hand, $25.00 for 3 hands. 50/50 at $1.00 per ticket or $5.00 for 7 tickets. All proceeds will go to help with teaching material for the children and elderly community. Door prizes and food.

I'm trying to arrange our music around not having to be there until the end of the second service so I can make the registration on time....I lead the band at our church and we do two services every Sunday morning. You should come hear us sometime...we rock!

Hopefully, I'll make the registration on time. Now you know why my screen name is Guitar4Him. Actually, I play guitar and keyboards...been playing for 40 years. It's a good gig with the church....I get a paycheck every two weeks. Money for extra bling! This month's paychecks are buying my Gerbing electric jacket, gloves, socks and thermostatic control. The biggest satisfaction, however, is not the paycheck....it's playing with a band of the caliber I'm playing with and knowing Who we're playing for. Like I said...we rock.....
