Looking to get the appetizer party together at Baileys. Is this Friday too
short notice? Like around 6 or 6:30? In Greenville.
Weigh in a quick as possible, I'll need to check with Baileys to insure no
problem.

I should be able to make it, but I'll have a buddy from Uruguay visiting from Wed. thru Sun. Would it be OK if he comes, too?

Who is available Friday evening 9/16?
Thought you were looking for a date (sorry I am engaged already). If you move it to Greenville NC - I am in. Otherwise have to take a rain check. Drink a beer for me though. Someday will have to make a trip that way to meet some of you SC X riders. Have a great time.

John, (former SCX) bring your new scoot!
I know there are more of you X'ers lurking in Greenville, Greer, Sparkle City,
etc., etc. Great opportunity to meet some new folks.

I'll stop by but it may be a little later. Fridays can be tough to get away. Sorry, John, no wheels this weekend -- had to send my exhaust back to the manufacturer. So I am high and dry at the peak of the season. :(

My grandson is coming over this weekend so maybe I can borrow the X from Dad. After that easy-riding Ultra it will be a challenge on that big bike. And way back on the throttle by comparison. This could be interesting, if he will let me ride it.

Hey John,
Are we still on? If it's OK, I thought I'd invite a friend or two from work. They ride Harleys, so we'll have to overlook them. They're pretty good guys.
Let me know...

Mike, we are on. I recieved a call from the events coordinator this afternoon
confirming Friday at 6:30 PM.
Only deal is each person (couple) will be resposible for their own drinks.
Baileys is providing appitizers for up to 20 folks and 2 pool tables for two
hours.
If the appetizers don't go too far, I've committed to buy Karen dinner.
She can be high maintenance you know. (She's not here right now...snicker, snicker)
And your friends are welcome.
So far I think we have approx:
John/Karen + up to 4 others.....6
Dennis & Gwen will try..............2
Jay & Kay..................................2
Mike and friends.......................3
John..........................................1
Eddie & friend...........................2
Total.......................................16
Looks like we have somewhere between 12 & 16 so far.

Cool!
How about directions...

09-15-2005, 07:36 AM
Bailey's - Greenville
2409 Laurens Road Beside Wachovia
Greenville, SC 29607
864/281-9347
If you are traveling South on 85, exit at Laurens Rd. and take a right. I
think you go through two or three traffic lights, and Baileys will be on your right.
When you see Hooters, your almost there.
Traveling North on 85, you will exit to the right on Laurens Rd., make a
circle under the highway and merge onto Laurens road going west. The
rest is the same as above.
Hey, thanks for the invite! Dianne and I will be there!

I had to replace all of the drive gaskets after a puddle formed in the garage. Suspect that it started after the dealer replaced the dino with Syn3 at the 1k service. Tech whispered to me that the builder had used a screwdriver to force the gasket in. No charge and no more leaks. But they didn't clean my garage floor.

Sorry I didn't make it. My buddy from Uruguay arrived a day later than planned, and I had to try to cram everything I had planned into less time. He was supposed to get to my house mid-afternoon Wednesday, and we were supposed to ride to Chimney Rock and Linville Falls on Thursday, then spend a leisurely day around town yesterday before riding up to Greenville, but he didn't arrive until after 9:00 pm Thursday night. Therefore, we went to Chimney Rock and Linville Caverns yesterday.
I still had all good intentions of being in Greenville around 7:00 pm, but it didn't work out. First of all, we got off to a late start. Since he had just ridden his bike all the way from Miami Beach, he slept till 8:00 am. Then, we got caught in a lot of rain around Chimney Rock, and had to ride a lot slower. We got into Spartanburg around 7:30 pm, and I figured that by the time I got to Greenville, everybody would have already cleared out.
Thanks again for the invitation - I'm truly sorry I couldn't make it.
