stupid vibration

has anyone had there speedometer start vibrating at certain rpm's? never had this before it sounds like a p.oed bee. it is loud when i put my hand on the speedo the noise stops i took the unit off the bike and couldn't find anything wrong, put it back on and it was back to the same b.s., I gotta get this cured before i go north or it will make me crazy--- well maybe crazier-------ace

yup had the same noise it drove me nuts. i took some soft 1/8 inch rubber and cut small strips two of them and pressed them in between the cowl and tank so far this has worked for me. it has been in there for over a week and 200 miles and i havent heard it since

Are the plastic washers under the screw heads? If not try putting some electrical tape over the holes in the bracket and then put the dash back on.

Thanks for the comeback on the vibration noise, i will attack this problem today, have to go to a wake tonight, a friend had a heart attack and passed, he was only 55 years old-Life is short enjoy every second of it-----ride safe------ace
