PEP Boys Chrome trim on fenders & gas tank.

I have seena lot of VTX pictures that have the chrome trim on the edge of the gas tanks and fenders. The front fender and the gas tank look easy. The rear fender has a ridge or flange in some areas that won't easily accept the trim. Does anyone have any ideas about how to handle those areas.

Personal opinion......Stay away from door ding trim altogether. It's a VTX not not a Cage. No offense to my Brothers that have it, just my opinion.

fennec, the rear fender is a little tough. try seperating the trim a little with a butter knife first. this will make it easier to get onto the edge. and have some patience.

I'm with Hoss. Wish the tank flange wasn't there, will end up paying to get it rolled or filled as I haven't got that skill.
