Thanks for the welcome everyone. The wife gave me the ok (ya I'm a little whiped) to at least go and meet you guys on Saturday so see ya at the Big K!!
Now I need help understanding a few things. I asked this on the other boards but not much help, I was a little disappointed. Rejetting the carb, when do you do it? Why? Lean or rich how do you know and the fix? Have any of you modified your stock pipes? If so will you be at Kmart Saturday? I would like for my wife to hear them. I wouldn't make this mod without her ok, she was nice enough to let me get the bike so I try to let her in on things like this.

Thanks again,

Brucifer

I think Warden has after-market pipes and he should be there Saturday.

Brucifer:
I have a 03 1300 retro I have roadhouse slipons (sound great) I am going to rejet the bike in the next couple weeks. The only time a person would need to reject is when you change things like adding a K&N air filter and aftermarket pipes are make modifications to your air intake and exhaust system. by rejetting you are making adjustments to the carb, which in turn is like adjusting to the more intake and exhaust that the bike is now taking on. If it were me dont rush in to this I rode my bike for about 6 to 7 months before even thought about any mods. If you are going to be at K mart Saturday take a look at my bike or even Balrog's bike he also has made changes to his bike. There are a few things that a person can do to their machine and I find just take your time and get it the way you really want it.

I hope I gave you a somewhat understanding of why the rejet see ya later.

Brucifer,

I agree with Warden's comments. I too have the Roadhouse Slip-ons. I am not sure if I can make the ride on Saturday. However, I will at least try to be at KMart to meet and greet everyone.

See ya!

Have you asked the question on the regular tech 1300 board yet? This site is a wealth of info, I'm sure you'll find your answers

Hey Brucifier,

Something that's amazing about the OregonXRiders is.... we can yap alot... I can't believe how many post we've made on this site in this short time. Just look how many post there are compared to all the other groups, and we still keep posting on the yahoo site. I guess maybe they're out riding while we're yapping... and waiting for some nice weather. We're probably the ones slowin' this site down. I look forward to meeting you and your wife on the Saturday Ride, it's exiciting getting so many new memebers

Mornin'

That pic was taken on our first trip to Vegas, we overnighted in Susanville, CA. My husband, Sundance just got done dustun off 3 mexican bullys that were calling me mama sita? And whistling at me. He caught a good one on his right eye. The mexican guys ran away so it was time to leave. Sundance shot that photo out of his sore eye. Thats why he got so much sky in the picture. I still think its a nice photo. Pi

Last time I was in Reno I rode there with 3 law inforcement officers, one being a chief of police down here ... he had a nice old Davidson classic soft tail. It got stollen! HAHAHAHA Boy was the chief mad!!!! HAHAHAHA
Well hope to see you and Sundance on the road ! But lock yer bikes in Reno!!!

Well I am an old SO. Cal. Surf bumb that came north in the early 60s, worked for Josephine and Jackson Counties, Went back south during the depressions for a bit then found a job as park ranger in Jack. Co.
BOOM '''
another layoff in the early stages og O and C no funds,
went to work for a short time for the sherrif, who, it turned out was also an artist. We hit it off but still couldn't find a perminent slot. one day he calls me up and told me about this guy who needed a caretaker. Well one thing leads to another and after 14 years working as ranch manager for the guy, everything from long horn cattle to rainbow trout , there comes a time when he retires, a great fellow who has done everything! I have shots of the ranch from one of 5 helicopters he owned.
Well he decides to take up motorcycles as a hobby and who do you think the lucky guy is that watches them ...... hahahahahahah.... short story .... LUCK gets this kind o job!
We have some 20 + bikes all of which I can ride if he's not on them , still like me El Rojo the best though!
You take a great one eyed picture BTW ! HAHAHA bet those guys weren't expecting that and learned some manners!
(There Pi,,, how's that for "yakkin")
See ya on the road Sudance!
P.S. broke my arm on a craterlake run, it's one of my favorites!!!! HAHAHAHA
