Pit Stop

I occasionally make it to the Pit Stop on Wednesday nights but never noticed any VTX 1300's. Where are you guys? Hope to see some of you there next week. I'll just have to go up and down the aisles looking closer. Got there late this week but the week before, must have been a thousand bikes. Ride safe.

I will be there with my custom 1300 once I get the bars on. I hope soon. I had a little SNAFU that I had to take care of this weekend.

Like I said, I got there late. There were only about 2 dozen bikes in the lot and half were cranking it up to go. I'll find you guys this week.

I wanted to bump this thread back up and ask if any of you guys go to the Pit regularly. Every week I go out there and see lots of VTX's, 1300's and 1800's but I never see the riders so I never know if I'm perhaps missing you guys.
You can always tell my bike because it has the sidemount plate on it, I have yet to see another with one:

I'm also usually parked by a black 1300C and a 1800C that has custom rims, custom black paint, custom rear fender, all polished aluminum, etc...

I know what you mean. Ran into a few guys last week at the Pit Stop with VTX's and out of the 3, none of them knew about this site. Gave them my Email address and told them to send me something and I would send them this site but got no response. Maybe we need to get together, if we can ever all find each other, and park together and chat. I'll be there tomorrow. Mine is black with the Thinman Risers and Corbin Seat. Hope to run into one of you there.

OK, I usually try to park in the first few rows, as close to the bar itself as possible. I usually arrive between 6 and 7, but if I had more folks to chat with I'd come earlier. :D
I'll try to head out there for the same time this week, park in those same first few rows and I'll hang by the bike for a while. I'll wear my OCC "work" shirt (it's just like the black ones they wear on the show). Like I said, I'll probably be by a black 1300C and/or a custom black 1800C.

OK. I'll be heading from Slidell. So I would imagine I'll be leaving around 5:30. That should give me enough time to get through that lousy N.O. traffic, the people that are afraid that the other side of the High Rise is missing, and the nuts trying to get to Metairie. :lol: Think that covers it. i had a great time at the pit and riding tonight. My night ended by me leaving the darkest, best dougnut bun out i have ever made. I left it in front of The old Bennigans in Kenner (Where I use to work). I think we pissed off the movie people....oh well.

Tomorrow morning I am riding to Biloxi with a few people if any one is interested. I have to be at work at 500 so i am planning on getting home in the early after noon. We are leaving my house around 1000. I will check the boards before we leave. If anone is interested let me know. Leave a phone number or a place along the interstate to meet. I live in kenner. We will be getting on 10 at williams to highway 90.

This weekend is the annual Mounted Police Competition at New Orleans City Park Police Stable. Police mounted units from around the country paticipate (the public is invited to watch). Captain Wallace Leban is a friend of mine. He is in the patrol, also rides a Valk.

Anyways, those of us who went enjoyed the heck out of it - we turned a lot of heads pulling in with 5 VTX's at one time. 8)

I was there, but don't know what you all look like. I saw about 12 to 15 X's.

Last night I was a little out of place...I had just gotten off of work and was wearing slacks, nice shirt, dress shoes, etc. I looked totally yuppie. I saw a few friends and they didn't even recognize me.

I think we need a meet and greet again.

Well, I am disappointed. :( The evening fell apart, and working at night, it just became difficult. Now for the up side. Plans are already in place, weather permitting, to be there next Wednesday... :twisted:

If anyone is interested we met up at my place around 5:30-6 this past week and we can do the same again this week. It was a nice ride over with everyone together and it allowed us to park together in one place so we could talk shop while having our bikes nearby to refer to. :D

iv never been to the PIT STOP. Im in Gonzales and thinking about riding in Wed. Can anyone tell me exactally where its located? And I see some others are meeting up, Where at?

Are you coming I-10 or Ariline Hwy (Hwy61)? Either way, get to Clearview Parkway and head twards the Huey P. Long Bridge. ( South )You will pass the Elmwood Shopping Center on your Right and aproximatly 1/2 a mile passed the shopping center you will come to Jefferson Hwy and see the up ramp to the H. P. Long Bridge. TAKE A LEFT BEFORE the up ramp... STOP at the stop sign. THEN preceed about 1 mile down Jefferson Hwy, and The Pit Stop Will be on your Left...You CAN'T Miss It. { it's the place with all the bikes }or Read Bares Post. We can all meet up at his house first and ride over together..

Had a blast last night, another good turnout despite the questionable weather. I look forward to seeing more of you guys out there in the future as each week gets to be more and more fun as we meet more and more riders! :D
