Hey man, welcome to the club, I grew up in Colonial Hieghts there in Kingsport and my Dad still lives real close to Warriors path park. I currently live just outside of Knoxville and am very interested in meeting othe VTX riders, lot of Harley riders around here  , need some brotherhood or something. We need to form a TN xriders club that meets somewhere on a sort of regular basis like the Colorado guys and the Texas guys. Whatda think?

Congrats CandyRed! I live in Big Stone Gap, Va. I wouldn't mind to ride with you guys sometime. I work at Eastman. I ride year round. A friend and I are thinking about riding the Dragon this summer, he rides a 1100 V-Star, but I still ride with him. :D
LaMonster, I didn't realize you were a Greene Co. man, oh well...small world.

Thanks Markx, I go through Colonial Heights every day to work and rode past Warriors Park today on Fall Creek Road. I live in the Indian Springs area. I think a TN xriders club would be a great idea! What have we got to do to get it going?

Thanks joedaddy, anytime you want to ride let me know and we'll set something up. I don't know anyone else that rides (except a couple of Harley Heads :( ) so I'm open to any suggestions.

Its spring time and I am ready too ride! :DHey Candyred - my husband and I are also East TN off I-26 between Johnson City and Kingsport. I ride VTX 1300R (red, by the way), and my husband rides a NOS-enhanced Valkyrie. I hope you enjoy your VTX as much as I do mine. I had a demo ride last year at Honda Homecoming in Ohio and LOVED it...came right back and bought one at Jim's Motorcycle in JC. Just tripped over the 4,000 mile mark and can't wait to add another 1,000. :mcrider:

Hey Guys, I've had my 1800 for a month now and so far I've only been able to put 225 miles on it thanks to the weather and spring time yard work. When I first got the VTX I took it to the school parking lot after hours and practiced slow turns and figure eights til I felt comfortable with it. Now I'm still learning engine sound + speedometer reading to tell what gear I'm in, found out it will do 80 in fourth without breathing hard and I thought I had it in fifth. :D

Candyredretro,

Welcome to the club. I know you'll be happy with your X, especially being able to ride it in God's country. BTW, what part of East Tennessee do you hail from?

I know Kingsport well. We used to play DB in HS sports. I grew up in Morristown and still have a house on Cherokee Lake. Maybe we'll meet at the Hoot this year.
