got home about an hour ago and wow, what a crappy ride home. hit some reall bad storms south of clewiston.
had to pull over (couldn't see sh*t)....there was some utility looking building behind some gates....went under the gates and Tooshort opened the building for us. it was some sort of building for a large generator pump looking thing....finally able to get back on the rode and made it home with squishy boots.
OK on to the fun part.
i had a fabo time in sebring. the 20 bikes that went from the South area to the many people from the central, a few from the treasure coast and those that were more local converged on this smal, quaint, great small town called Sebring and made our presence known.
what a great turn out and a big CONGRATS to everyone that won in the bike show.
as usual, it is always great to see everyone again....i wish we could get together every weekend. by the time sunday rolled around, i think i had met and spoke to at least 1/2 of the people staying at the Kenilworth.
i understand someone brought Tina bandaids for the trip down...hehehe
Cindy, glad to see that you are hobbling around better these days.
A big thanks to HDL and Ricster and Seminole Powersports for their generous donations for our raffle and giveaways. and definitely to Ed for arranging such a fun dinner. we took up a large portion of that restaurant. obviously, they didn't think you were serious when you made that standing reservation. they will take more notice next time.
Ed - you did a super job and it was great fun....you did so much for us and i know that we all appreciate it greatly.
Congrats to everyone that won the freebies - i still have a bunch of coolies and kickstand things.
a few other highlights:
dang - my room is at the complete end of the hall
ok, so walking from the hotel to the event was not such a good idea (bad blister on heel)
wow, look at all the VTX's.....we outnumbered the rest (maybe not, but i am saying it anyway)
always super to meet new people and even more newbies to meet.
saw his and hers VTX's (got pics of plates)
the Mayor of Avon Park and family rides VTX's (really nice couple. was great meeting and talking to you both)
tequila in 220 - tequila in 220 - tequila in 220
the Kenilworth Lodge sign said WELCOME VTX RIDERS (got pics)
hey, sebring has a niteclub....yipee....
shots, shots and more shots.....or maybe just really large drinks.
crap, where did we park the bikes....which street was it?
ok, i didn't park my bike up against the sidewalk.....it was in the middle of the street...good thing it wasn't locked....
dunkin donuts for coffee and a few new people on the backseats.
ok, so Willie's bike got moved too.....dude, those cops were jerks to just watch you.
and no willie, we don't remember what your room number was.
oh, so what room had that tequila.
Avon calling at 1:30am
dogpile on the king size
2 something am.....i'm done.
next morn - yes, i need a lot of coffee
has anyone seen Ted?
great breakfast....
I won't go down in history, but......... ok so sometimes i like to shake things up.
Steve - bike looks awesome in the light and when i can see.
Everyone - as you can see, i had a great time....met some super people and am ready to do it again.
i am sure that i forgotten a few things, will remember when i get the pics.
