I was thinking about heading West for July 4th weekend next year. Please take a look at this link:

Sounds like a great time with a few X riders in Colardo.

It's a ways off just yet but I've got it blocked in my calendar. Riding the Rockies is spectacular and I'd love to do it again. Maybe we can get a group of IN X'rs to make the trip?

I'm planning on making reservations later this week.
We need to have a strong showing from IN, KY and IL.
My father and brother are also planning on going.

I signed up on the Coloradical board. Do I need to make hotel reservations now?

The VTXers now take over 2 adjacent hotels, so finding a room shouldn't be a problem. I would imagine that a few days before the event there will be a number of cancellations and you could get a room even at the last minute.

Thinking about making this trip. It happens to be over my birthday, sounds like a fun way to spend it! 8)

IL had about a dozen bikes there this year and plan on topping it next year! We break the trip into 2 parts and usually (at least the last 2 years) spend the night in Kearney, NB (right off of I80). That leaves an easy 350 the next day into the Denver area. The more southern IN folks would probably take I70 through Kansas into CO though.

If you do make it, you will not be disappointed! The CO riders put on a helluva gathering! The riding is absolutely awesome and the BSing at the end of a good days ride is a blast!
