I tried posting some photos in the forum. However, it didn't work. So, I threw them out on a simple web page. Here is the link.

Hey Jeff was a great ride today except for me in the last leg of the ride, as we were heading down the summit just before Grand Ronde i got slammed by something about the size of a golf ball, right on the left side of my face it about knocked me off the bike .I damn near took out the guard rail, I had to pull over and regain myself. I made it to Grand Ronde but me and the bike were covered in blood. Felt like I was hit by a baseball bat,had a couple people stop. By the time I got to my house it was not pretty. finally got bike and myself cleaned up , side of my head is all puffed out and hurts like #*@! what a day! nice to meet your wife and brother. catch you later Balrog..........Warden

You alright Warden??
Did anyone see you pull over? We usually do a better job of staying together than we did today. If your head is puffed up you should soak it in warm water for an hour. Now remember I am not a doctor so a second opinion would not be a bad idea. And next time, duck! A little U of O humor.
Hope you are feeling better. Getting stung in the head by a bee was bad enough. At least it did not bleed.

Warden,
Wow! I am glad you are ok. I am really sorry for not noticing you pulling out of the group. On the ride home from Lincoln City, I found myself riding too close to the front of the pack. Big Mistake!! Next time. I am going to be sure to stick to the back of the pack.
I am glad you made it home safely.

Jack,
Sorry to hear about that, must of been a rock kicked up by a passing car. Happened to me once a long time ago. Lifted me up off me seat, if I hadn't had a good hold of the bars it would've taken me off. Take it easy, and you might consider getting looked at.

Hay Jeff, nice photos! Thanks for shareing those! :) Man Warden, bad news Buddy  I'm really sorry to hear of your incident. I'm also sorry to say that I seen ya kind of dissapear all of a sudden. I thought you were heading home Jack, I had no idea you had trouble. That really sucks man. Just give me a call buddy and I'll help ya come up with a good story for your buddies at work to explain your bruised skull. I never seen one man take out 13 violent and out of control peace protesters! Anyway, perhaps Bob has a good idea of soaking your head. I've heard that cider works well. :pepper1: Have a great day horsepower hombries. Sundance :x

Damn, Warden! we noticed you backing off but just figured you were turning off on a backroad toward home. Feel bad because we were the ones right in front of you - riding together we should've paid more attention to what was going on.
Too bad it didn't hit me, at least I had a full face helmet on....

Hey guys all is well, and thanks for your concerns. I have been trying to figure out just what it was that hit me, and i have yet to figure it out.
I ruled out Bob and Dennis throwing ball bearings at each other, like in the past. It was either a Bird or a GOLF BALL all I remember is Jerry and Autum off to my right just ahead of me and Sundance and Pi just in front of me I seen the object come past and over Autums head and left shoulder and than KABAM it got me just to the left side of my eye on the temple. I know it did not come from a car, and a present I have a peace treaty with the Grand Ronde Tribe ( most of them related ) I cant imagine sweet Autum throwing Jerrys lucky golf ball away during a ride.
I think it was a bird, why does top flite keep flashing in my mind.
Anyway all is good and Bob thanks for the advice about soaking my head in water, but I went with Sundance's suggestion and soaked it in cider.
Again thanks guys for your concerns and I will see ya soon

You know Warden, I'll bet it was a bird.
I had one of those sneaky, devious, winged rats attack me on I-5 just north of Redding. Dennis and I were heading for Hollister when the cowardly attack occurred. The winged fiend approached in a full power dive out of the sun. At the last possible second I spotted the foul fowl out of the corner of my eye. With reflexes honed by a thousand strikes to the cranium, I moved my head in a lighting fast motion forward and down. The streaking attacker was committed to it's trajectory. The feathered freak passed my helmet at a combined closing speed in excess of 140 MPH. ( I was doing 80. My would be assassin had to be doing 60) But bird brain did not know who he was dealing with! For the attempt to inflect bodily harm on an Oregon X Rider this viper of the sky paid with his live. Unknown to the beast I had a decoy full face helmet strapped to the top of my pack at the back of my bike. With afore mentioned lighting fast reaction the sub sonic dork passed my helmet and met my decoy helmet full face so to speak. Dennis visually verified the kill as my tormenter crashed to the pavement after the strike.
I see your attack Saturday as payback Warden. When you consider that I killed my attacker the word went out through birddom that an X Rider had taken out one of there gang. It just goes to show you what cowards these birds are. An Oregon X Rider 1800 killed one of theirs, but do they come after an 1800?? NOOOOOO!! They go out and pick on a 1300!
I'm sorry you got mixed up in this revenge pecking! I just thank god you were not on an 1800 or the impact could have taken your head off!!
Ride safe, and keep your eyes open!!

Have to throw in my thank you for the invite and the kewl ride. It was my first time riding in a group and hope, since I was in the middle I didn't cause the group to stretch out too much. Perhaps I should have been in the back. Given a couple more runs, I'll get used to being in so tight.
Very nice to meet you all and I will try to learn some names. I saw all kindza **** to spend my money on, my wife loves you all for that. ("Why do you have to buy MORE things for your motorcycle? I thought you loved it already." "Honey, why do you have to have so many SHOES?")
So sorry Warden got hammered in the head, I didn't notice you pull off, bummer. Makes me glad I have a windshield, I guess. Dropping my bike in the yard leaving in the morning made me DAMN DAMN DAMN glad I read last week about the guy's bike tipping in the driveway, I had just put on engine guards 2 days before, and nothing hurt at all, 'cept my pride?
Looking forward to doing it again, thanks so much everybody!
Jonathon from Corvallis
PS nice to have Jerry and Autumn to ride up with!

I can't be sure Warden
After I took the picture on him in my helmet he did fly away. I could have squashed him and didn't. Maybe he will be content with just stinging me.

Well if we are keeping track. I was on my way home from Florence and rideing quads with Tim and Connie, which is why we missed the ride with you all. Sorry for that. Anyways I pulled off at my exit and was swarmed by about thirty or fourty bees. I am just Glad I was in my car  ,and not on the bike. But I did see one bee really eyeballing my X rider shirt, so we all had better watch out. They are obviously not satisfied with one little sting to the head.
