Guitar4Him - going up friday night, leaving Sunday afternoon. Looks like we will miss you. I rode Indian Trail to Rocky Mount one day in the late 80's. Gassed up in Burlington. I stopped to see someone in Winston Salem on the way home after I gotten rained on and was soaking wet. I looked like a wet rat. Family and I had a great 8.5 years in NC. Have a safe ride, will be back in NC another day!

Scarecrow - you want me to get a crick in my neck looking up? Oh, I forgot, some roadsides are so steep that a tree 15 ft from the road may have the treetop at eye level! Weather report sounds good, will try to leave some vegetation on them! I hear the 21st is a hot date for fall color.
The sept drought caused some trees to become barren in my yard.
I just did the 8k mile checkup except the valves. 4k miles aug 3/05.

TN72, to US 411, to Cherohala to Robbinsville, us129 to Murphy to US64 to Highlands. Thought I saw a yellow BossHoss, email to LaMont.

Hey Hans, me and 3 or 4 other folks are leaving Friday morning heading up that way. We're gonna try and hook up with Guitar4him sometime on Saturday if not earlier.

I hope you guys enjoyed the riding and the colors. I came thru the mountains on I-40 (cage) after dark on Friday with the bike in Atlanta.

Biketoberfest this weekend.

Looks like Halloween is the next opportunity to ride in the mountains. I just hope it isn't too cold (remember, I leave late on Friday, so I don't stop until 8 PM or so).
