Does anyone have any info on local (tristate area) VW Bug (60's & 70's) vendors and shops? I'm going to be starting my first Bug build up in the near future and was looking for all the help I can find. Thanks guys

Yep- there are three bug places I know of here in Wisconsin. One guy specializes in engines- he's in Honey Creek, WI. Not sure of the name, he has a car on display in front of his shop, I know where it's at, but can't remeber the name.
Another place in Burlington, WI. Again, I don't know the name. Specializes in VW.
Third place is/was in Mequon. They are on Mequon Rd, may be the city of Germantown. I'm not sure if they are still around, haven't been up that way in awhile.
Let me know if you can't get them located- I'll have to go for a drive and get their info.

Gracias dudes 8) Ya'll ever see an 11 sec Bug!!!! You will 8)
Used to be a place called Spencer's Old Volks home on Lake near 53.
Don't know if its still there.
There was also a guy in the rt59 and (178th - 195st) area that worked out of a barn but for the life of me i cant remember a name or the street. If you are cruisin that area and see a bunch of bugs in a yard at a farmhouse it might be worth stopping.
If you spot a bug that is a "work in progress" - catch the guy. They are as connected and willing to share info as VTX people.
Good Luck
