I hate the fact that I have to give up riding for the winter months. It really pi$$e$ me off but what ya gonna do. I guess it gives me time to do my modifications for next year. I just wanted to complain

I hear ya, but I'm hoping to squeeze another few weeks out of the season.

What have you got planned for mods? I've got a few I'm thinking about doing and some that I am definitely doing.

Misery loves company, right?

I'm still drooling over the spoked 240. If I do that, I'll bring it back up closer to stock. Can't take the frost heaves in the spring real well as it is.

You don't have to give up riding in the winter months, just switch to a different ride. Blasting down the trails on a sled is a good way to keep the winter blues away...mike

I have no love for the snow.

I plan on changing out the exhaust, and looking into a seat. But it all depends on the $. Heating oil is problably going to limit me to buying just a couple of stickers. Damn I hate the cold.

I was out this evening until dark. I think it may be time to invest in a windshield so I can bear the cold!

I'm right there with you, rode until dusk myself, ended up pulling out my hat and wishing I had my helmet to cut the wind! Took me a while to warm up when I got home, but I'm holding out still for more riding. My son keeps begging me to take him to school on it, but even I'm not crazy enough to ride that early in the morning! Looks like an impromptu trip to mexico where it's warm would be in order! But mother nature has to mess with that too! I'll just tough it out until I go numb!

I ordered a Memphis fats 21" windshield and brackets Saturday from Powersports in Louden yesterday. They are really friendly in there and the shield will be in on Tuesday.
I saved about $20 and did not have to pay shipping by ordering through them. You can not beat order going in on Monday and have it here by Tuesday without having to pay all that money in shipping!

If your in the lakes region and cruising down 106, stop in and check them out. I will be using them to order all my parts from now on.

Well I hate to utter a 4 letter word to my fellow NH X'ers, but here goes!

We had SNOW last night and some of it stuck on the ground! Just north of my house it stayed and was present this afternoon and tonight just before dark it was still at higher elevations (gorham hill on Route2), hopefully the rain will make it disappear before it becomes a reality!

Guess it's really time to start planning my new paint job! On another note, can't wait to try the new jeep commander out in the slippery stuff!

Gladly - we got about a foot of heavy snow from yesterday during the day to this morning. It's sunny in berlin and the snows melting like crazy, but here it's still snowing, although it's starting to melt. Power went out about 3am and still hasn't come back on yet as of noon. Time to buy a generator, i'm using the laptop on it's battery right now, but that will end soon too - lol

Let me know how much you want, I'd send it all your way!!!

A FOOT? Damn! We got our icy 'dusting' last night and early this morning. But it's all clear now, even supposed to be ~60 this weekend! I wanted the rain to go away, but it wasn't supposed to turn into this!

You guys with sleds are lucky...

Well - from last night till tonight - finally got power back on at about 6pm tonight - radio said 1200 people in my area without power, should be restored to everyone by tomorrow afternoon. I finally said hell with it and just bought a generator from home depot and will pick it up tomorrow, gonna install it as a backup since this is october and i've already lost power twice. It's nice in the country, but can really be a pain also - lol

Snow hasn't melted yet, hopefully if the sun breaks through it will burn it off quick, was melting pretty good today, till it cooled down again. If I could have gotten the X out without riding through the snow, tried it once and it wasn't good, I would have taken it to the main road and got some pics of it with the beautiful scenery that abounds right now!

Good luck on the job mike - get moved quick.
