A couple friends of mine and myself along with that other bike (whatever it was) are thinking about riding to Cherokee next weekend. (nov. 5th) If anybody cares for just a ride and probably lunch, let me know.

I think we are going to stay the 3 days. The 2 wheel inn looks good. I'm going to put bike on back of truck just incase the weather changes,
Going down the 81 and 316 today I ran up on some VTX's they were going to a BBQ. I asked the last rider if they go on the vtxoa web site?
He said no because they had their own site, before I could ask him the address the light changed and off they went. They were headed south .

I don't have any details yet as to the time we are leaving, but I'm sure it will be around 9 am this coming saturday. All my friends want to do is maybe get up there, have lunch, maybe walk around a bit and head home. We will probably take 441 thru Franklin and then up to Cherokee but I'm not sure if they have another route. I will know more come Tuesday night when I get to talk to them.

If I'm in town, I'll go. Son needs some new leather stuff, and Cherokee is the best place for that.

Mark, if you go, are you going to spend the night, or do a day trip?

Don't know yet if I'm going, but if I do, it'll be an overnighter somewhere. I like to enjoy the view.

As of right now, I will be meeting a couple X's and er,,,that other bike on 441 and 85 in the back of the McDonalds parking lot at 9:30. Is anyone interested in meeting there or would you rather meet somewhere in Cherokee??? I'm not familiar with that area at all so it is up to you all.

Yeah Ed it is. I had just ordered a Corbin Young Guns seat this past weekend and was hoping it was here before the weekend. My rump takes all it can take just going to Helen

We're in....barring some castastrophie...(normal for us)...hope not.

Tena (TnA) and I will head out early Sat morning and try to meet you guys at 53 and 985 around 10:00.

Jeff...if you and Becky wanna go, we'll probably head on up to Gatlinburg for the night, relax, and ride back Sunday.

I'm out. I hate doing this but plans have changed on Cherokee. Melissa (one of the riders) says she has to work in the afternoon which prevents her from going that far. I am still going to meet them at the McDonalds but we need to keep it local to home so she can get back to work. I hope you all have a good time up there and ride safe. Will have to plan another ride in the future.

We want to go, but HAVE to be in Rome Sunday morning, therefore, we'll do a cruise up 64 to Ocoee, around Elijay and down the Mountain for a daytrip instead. You guys and gals have fun and beware the leaf gawkers!

Well....other than a good time with friends....you guys didn't miss much in Cherokee. It took us 1 1/2 hours to creep from the casino, to the car show, on the north part of town. Folks packed tighter than Dick's hatband. Lots of great looking cars though. We managed to stop at Tallulah gorge on the way up and check out the kayak competion on the falls.

Saw an awful sight.......a VTX on a trailer.

The ride on up to Gatlinburg was nice. Overcast, but a crystal clear view all the way. The leaves were in full technicolor. Had some great seafood for the evening, and turned in early.

On the way back this morning, couldn't see 10 feet in front of me. Heavy clouds the whole way back to Cherokee, along with the road being wet and full of slick leaves. Kinda nerve-wracking. :?

We'll all get together sometime or another. :D

I just LOVE those wet leaves as I am entering a switchback!! Glad you guys had fun and made it home OK. BTW, I can't tell from your pic since it's in the background, are you still running the RH's w/ the fishtail tips on your scooter?

Not with the fishtails.....didn't like the look. They look stock, but blow away anyone that hears them.

Oddly, while we were at the pioneer village, at the south end of the park, a group of folks were hovering over our X's. We walked up, and one of the guys asked my wife to start up hers.....he had V&H pipes on his...and wanted to switch back to stock. So she did. Then they asked me to fire up my "stock" pipes.

Nice bunch of folks, riding a 1300, a wing, a HD, and I think a boulevard.
