Tried to buy a V-Strom today. Too bad for ****ty salepeople with bad attitudes....Dumb little sh*t head never even asked me what I did for a living (run a sales dept). I drove 1 1/2 hours to Crystal River this morning after making the deal on the phone with the sales manager and the little punk kid pissed me off so bad I left without my new bike(now I'm more pissed off!!!) Why would you not give a customer a buyers order so he could go to his bank and get a check? Well he probably did me a favor and I hope I got him fired.

Sorry to hear that Ken. I thought you were leaning toward a sport touring type bike based on some of your posts. Nice.

Here is my brand new sport tourer that I just picked up on the 2nd. Its a blast. (Still got the X)

Roy I know you will ENJOY riding the new
bike around some of those twisties out your way.
Would like to take a ride on that one sometime :D
Guess we would have to OK it with the spouses first
Have Fun & Be Safe. Pam

Thanks. It'd be fine at this end but also, if Lewis has some sport bike experience or tried it and felt good on it, I'd have no problem with him treating you to the ride. I'll be getting up your way in not too long. Keep having fun.

you going for the sport touring, or straight up sport bike?

the ST1300 is really a nice riding bike. if you like that kinda riding.
me i like the cruisers and the customs.
you got your bike in the classifieds on the forum?
i'm eventually going to build me a semi chopped custom bike.
figured a C model or find a older dyna glide and build it.

but you should go to St. Augustine , well call first, and see if you
can ride one of those ST1300s.

pegs what kinda bike is that, i can't tell.

i looked at several sport touring bikes here lately,
the 2002 bmw r1150rt is sweet.
the 2004 triumph sprint st in aston green is a beautiful bike.
2004 yammy fjr1300 is by far best all around reviewed bike.

but you should see the buell s3t thunderbolt 8) it is just fun to look at
over at adamic's HD.

My new Sport Tourer:

Lets See, Keaton Beach yesterday, horse country today: 800 miles in 4 days of ownership equals 200 miles per day times 365 days in a year equals 73,000 miles a year. Yep, I better slow up, 3 year unlimited mileage warranty or not.

Peg, you get that at streits? I thought they had one of those a couple of weeks ago

I tried to get it at Streits but they were trying to get more than msrp by giving an 8% discount on the bike but coming back with inflated destination, setup, title etc...

I got what was supposed to be the actual dealer invoice, freight, setup payment to the dealer, and holdback amounts from the web for 2005 and I believe they were accurate. I called five other dealers with an "out the door" price offer and none took it. I was following cycle trader ads and while searching, a dealers ad hit that was even slightly better than I was after and I picked it up 3 hours away in Georgia.

I'm confident I got a good deal. It was the best price anyone in the web thread had gotten and 6 dealers had turned down a better offer.

Good luck with yours. But you're a pro at this stuff.
