SATURDAY 11/12 RIDE [Archive]

this saturday some of us are taking a trip to Indian Country for the 7th Annual Indian Art Celebration out at Big Cypress Seminole park

we will be meeting at Holiday park at 10am and leaving by 10:15am

i have some other friends that will be joining us as well.

the route will be.......US27 north to 75 West. Exit 49 to Seminole celebration

Highlander.....what route are you taking? can you not just come by the house on your way down 95?

let me know who wishes to come with us. you don't have to stay all day and don't even have to see any of the indian art or dances and whatnots.

unless it is too small to hold my attention, i plan on staying for at least a few hours.

Have to work untill noon if you are still there I will see you there. If you are gone I will keep going west because either way I wont be sleeping at home. I really need to get away from the house for a night so I will be camping at a hotel somewhere.

Saturday, 10am, HP, OK. I might just keep going to Labelle (not over 70) and get a boo-boo burger or pie at Flor & Ellas.

Cool Pop and I are going to try and make it down for this one folks. Can't commit 100% just yet, but it's been discussed and all efforts will be made to get there.

As of this moment I'm iffy. I wrenched my back this morning at work and could not get up. My friend drove me home and I'm going to medicate myself, go to the chiropractor and see how it feels later.

As much as I hate to do this, I have to back out of the ride to Semiole. I leave for Italy Monday and have way to many things to get done before I go.

I did go out there today and really enjoyed the Native music, story telling, dancing, and all of the crafts. It's $6 to get in and park and that gets you into the museum there also. There are people from tribes in Arizona, South Dakota, New Mexico and a couple others.

Then had good authentic mexican food over in Imokalee. Yum!

See you all after Thanksgiving.

T - glad to see that you finished your stuff around the house and came out to play.

well, i gotta say.....it was a gorgeous day today.

thx to everyone that came and rode, no matter how far.

Batman - thx for being our GPS guru.....great idea about taking 27 instead of 75.

Fred - good to see you again....and tell Greg and Manny it was nice to meet them and hope to ride with again.

Laz - you actually went further than 1/2 way. i am so proud of you! :D

Juan A & B - really nice to meet you and a big welcome to the board.

To everyone else that rode today......as always it is good to see you and after the past couple of weeks, a very welcome break.

we had some other bikes today and i think everyone is realizing that apart from the fact that we came here originally cuz we had a VTX, we by far are the funniest to be around and ride with.

People just naturally gravitate to groups that are friendly and are having a great time.

looking forward to the next ride.

GREAT TIME again met some wonderful people- Trforce, Hose-a, Hose-b lol,Victor and his wife Elizabeth,The Juans, John, Ron, and the pleasant Denise tourist director. The food was excellent in La Belle nice restaurant I know I forgot someone!

Had a great time today :lol: It was a pleasure meeting new faces and seeing old faces again. This was a lot better than my recent trips alone to Hooters and Holiday Park. Look forward to seeing you all again after Thanksgiving. Going away for the holiday. Ride Safe !!!

It was nice to ride with you quys, Greg return with Laz they must have made it back to Miami in record time.

Manny and I continue toi Immokalee and south to Evergalde city where we had stone crabs for lunch

I was beat when i got home just in time for my nap.

Hey Cafre,

We did make it home in record time, an hour back to my house all the way from the reservation. That road there is awesome.
I was like hmmm greg is a cop so he can talk us out of a ticket, and off we went. Average speed was about ....... (cant say) , it was awesome. I had bruises from the dragon flies i hit on my face.
