The Windvest looks the best although the Rifle Solo Shield looks great, too for about half the cost.

I recommend the "switchblade" from National Cycle. I chose the "shorty" which takes the windblast off my chest but I still get wind in the face - what I want. They offer three shields, the shorty is the mid & compliments the bike. I don't like the colors on some like the Memphis Shades. Installation of the switchblade is easy & they pop on and off in seconds. A good choice.

I also like the National Cycle Switchblade series. Currently, I have the shorty, the chopped and will probably buy the 2 Up this weekend (HDL sale). I run the shorty in the summer, the chopped in fall and spring, the 2 Up I'll run in the winter or anytime it's excessively windy. I think the best all around windshield is the chopped. As for cost, the mounting hardware is around $100 and the shields are around $150 (depending on where you get them and which style). You can usually find them cheaper from members on this or other boards (the shields obviously fit other bikes) or Fleabay. The ability to switch the shields or just take 'em off in less than 5 seconds make them a pretty good deal.

Colleen did not want the huge ugly windshield I have, so we put the Hondaline "boulevard" shield on her bike. It looks good, which is to say, it doesn't "show," but fits the bike's lines.
I've ridden her bike and it does well in everything except rain.

I also have a National Cycle Switchblade. Keeps the wind off your chest but does hit your face, I wear a full face so this isn't a problem. It serves no purpose in the rain
