Out of the Blue or perhaps the Black Hole, I spoke to and even met up with Metzmauler today. He is alive and well. Overworked due to the TV show they have been filming, but they are done now.
As for the hurricane he survived with very minimal damage.
The run in he had with the concrete parking stops in the middle of 75 seems to have taken a bigger toll on the bike than first thought. Not only did the frame get damaged, but it cracked the engine block, and frame, So they totalled it. He ended up with a down payment on a new one or the cost of a used one.
Bill is currently in the market for a one or two year old 1800C with low miles, and very few mods.
He passed on his greetings to everyone and said he will be riding again very soon.
