O K, This is easy, works great, looks great.

Go get a pair of black tights...............................Hahahahaha

DO NOT put them on...................

We're gonna make an air filter pre filter....

For those of you with an exposed air filter cartridge, this is great. I did it on mine and works perfect....keeps rain off too.

Cut the foot off one leg of the tights, wear it if ya just can't resist.
Cut just enough off the same leg to cover...with a lil left over, your air filter cartridge.Just streach it over the filter and thats it.

Wala, an air filter prefilter....
They(who ever they is) get 20 dollars for these things. You just got a whole buncha them for like 5 bucks.

If Nick's wife, Country Girl, will help me, I'll post pictures, ok?

Enjoy

I got the size that was on the clearence rack at wal-mart. Originaly my purpose was to try to duplicate a head warmer I got there last year. Lost it somewhere. Thought these would duplicate the mesh tube I had. Didn't work. Too tight, hence the name "tights" . But as one can see, makes a great pre filter. And for the price...for us cheapos........ This wasn't my idea, a fellow at work thought of it while I was trying to make the head warmer. Just so happened I was on the bike that day....so we took the filter off and tried it. worked well, and was eye appealing.
Thank/blame him.

If you have the stock air cleaner cover, with a design cut into it. works great here to kinda "mask" the air filter. Even a non exposed stock air cleaner can use a dust filter.
