I am trying to deside where my spring ride will take me to this year. I will prob.take off sometime in the first half of April. So Iam thinking the southern states for sure. Florida is fun but then I had a blast in Lafayette,La.One thing is for sure I cant wait to do it.Maybe I'll just get on the X and see where I end up.

Hoping to ride soon with the Indyucky riders! When is our first ride going to be, and where? The Gorge? Also, I heard some say they would like to go to Bardstown again, or maybe Frankfort. There is a distillery there too! Also Pine Mountain is beautiful!
Lets be thinking where we would like to ride!

I'm thinking of going to the Sturgis area in late June/early July. My sister and her husband both ride and we had a blast in Colorado last year. I've never been in that part of the country and would love to give it a try.
I missed the Ky weekend rides this fall and don't want to let that happen again. The Gorge would be awesome.
Maybe we can get a group together and spend a few days in the Smokies sometime this summer too. Deals Gap is always a great ride.

TermiteTermite, Have you ever been to the Badlands? If not, you must ride through there! We did last year on our trip out west. Mt Rushmore is a sight to see too!
You will love the Gorge. Beautiful area of KY!

From the other boards that I lurk on, there is definite interest in going to Deals Gasp (yes that was a typo, but seemed appropiate :) ). When I know more I'll post it.
Also, I'd be interested in going to the next gorge outing. Only 400 miles or so.

Hey Tim, I've been thinking of heading out to that Colorado Swaree if time allows. It looks like a lot of fun. I am not looking forward to riding the bike out there. That trip west of Kansas City is really brutal.... Lots of miles and nothing there. Considering possibly towing the bike out there. Have you done that trip before??

I rode out to Denver last summer and I have to say I loved the ride across the prairie. I grew up in Oklahoma so maybe I'm predisposed to like flat land.
From my house in Boone County its 650 miles to Topeka (where I spent the night) and another 650 to Denver. Traffic wasn't bad on I-70 once I got past Kansas City.
Anyway, it was a great trip and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. No matter what you decide to do you'll have a great trip.

I am planning on going up to the Soup Run in Fon Du Lac WI the week after memorial day. I am looking at leaving on Thursday or Friday, heading north across the Mackanac Bridge, and then along the coast, maybe Door County. The Soup is on at noon, Saturday. Head part of the way back on Saturday, and back to Indy on Sunday. More Info here: http://webpages.charter.net/rmilanowski ... up_run.htm (http://webpages.charter.net/rmilanowski3298/soup_run.htm)

That sounds like a great trip Rodney. Just a heads up ..watch for big potholes in Northern Michigan winter is tough on the roads up there.Be sure you stop and get a "paste" for lunch in St Ignace. Theres a little shop on main st.

Thanks for the advice. So I guess you are making through you ditching?
I was up there before thinking there must be a lot of Adult Clubs with all these places selling Pastes, then I realized it wasn't what I thought it was.
