Hey All,
We have been talking about organising a ride for over 12 months now and a couple of us seem keen to do one so we have set a date.
When: Saturday the 21st January, 2006
Meet: BP on the Bruce Hwy, Burpengary
Time: 7:30 for 8:00 take off (open to negotiation if a problem)
We will be heading up to the Sunshine Coast to meet with Angry (formerly Rocko with the great avatar) and will head somewhere once we pick him up. We will set a firm destination on the morning of the ride.
I know that Snappa, Tukster, Angry and myself will be there. Python has also shown interest.
Could you please just post to let us know if your interested in coming along. A phone number would be good also so that we can contact all if anything changes.
Phone Numbers:
Beaker - 0413 011 505
Snappa - 3886 1969
Angry - 0438 360 242
Looking forward to meeting some of you guys on the 21st!!

Hey Snappa,
Nice boat and now I see how you got ya handle...maybe that could be the next outing after Kenilworth
I just tried to post some pics from your website but it wouldn't work. I don't think you can link to images hosted on Angelfire as they won't allow it. If you need to post a pic just use the Frappr! link at the top of the page.

hi fellows
well what a great day saturday turned out to be... [wet & dry] ride but still every enjoyable...
it was great to put faces to the names and get to meet ya's
riding together, the cruisers all the same was a buzzzz and the noise ... ?
got home with a thumping head acke but i didnt mind...
"the one who must be obeyed" asked how did the ride go and the reply was .....>> the BEST by far ride i have done since i purchased the x 12 months ago.....
as you may have picked up .. i am not a great talker but i listen - a - lot to what others have to say.. so please donn't think i didnt enjoy myself as i had the great time
bloody "GREAT' keeps coming up all the time....??
picked up on a lot of things to do to the vtx that i didnt know.
like moving the bars and when i get the raisers what adifferent that could be to my riding position..
may leave the cobra slash cuts off as the holes in the end of the standard exhaust are loud enough...what do u think fellows..
maybe forward controls are the next item as i feel these could also improve the position.. so what are the best again angry maybe a link to view them....
i know i will be on the next one so i will keep looking at the posts for our next ride ...????
most enjoyable day and thanks again...

I too enjoyed the day - it was good to meet you all and it will become a regular ride if you are all keen. Perhaps next time we head south?? I know Angry will be happy with that
I was cleaning the bike on Sunday and decided to check a small oil leak that I have had for a while. It wasn't too bad and was only leaking a very small amount onto the exhaust (I have smelt burning oil for a couple of weeks!!) but it turned out to be the rocker cover on my rear cylinder. I had replaced this cover and gasket middle of last year due to the same problem. Anyway after removing the cover and seeing that the gasket was wet all around I used some gasket sealant and all seems to be ok. Rode her into work this morning and could not smell any oil burning but will check tonight. The gasket which is like an 'O' ring seems sit very deep in the slot on the cover and I think the face it seals against must be uneven.
Anyway, no major hassles as I reckon its all fixed now.

How did it sound?
I check mine every couple of rides - never had to add any yet. I'd keep an eye on it. It's a closed system so it should not be using much. Be care what coolant additive you use can't have any silicates in it as it corrodes the motor.
Hey Beaker did you get the oil leak stopped or she still weeping a little :?:
Noticed a bit of a coolant leak on the old girl from one of the rear hoses i think bloody bikes can't live with em can't live or ride without one either :?
