Well, things were really coming together. We have a larger group than ever this time and many new faces to put names to.

I had a rider from SC, who was going to plan a 1 hour or so ride for us, once the two groups merged, back out due to family commitments that day.

I need someone from SC to come up with a route for the larger group to take for about an hour. There is an ice cream place - I think in Greenville, where we can finish.

Mindflyer, GrandpaJ or anyone else in the area..... can you help us out?

Thanks in advance.......... Ron

Hammer,

Give me an idea what you want. How far? How much time? What ice cream place?

I'll see what I can do.

Mindflyer, GrandpaJ , I live in Greer and might suggest a run from meeting place exit 60 off I85

Taking rte 101 into Greer and following rte 357 up the long country stretch to the town of Campobello. Apx 15 miles on a great road. {Great country restaurant with a big open serving area. We could let Mike know and he can have 50 gals. of his great tasting Sweet Tea available.} The Dutch Plate.......owners from Lancaster Pa.

From Campobello you can ride scenic RT. 11 over (west) thru Gowensville continuing along RT 11 untill you come to Rt 101. (13 miles of great scenery ) Head south on Rt 101 coming back into Greer and out rt 14 to that nice Ice creame place where they pile the (1000) flavors......sky high. A well known summer stopping spot for a lot of us locals.

Total Round Trip : Apx. 40miles (can be done under an hour straight) This would allow for a Sweet tea stop in Campobello for 15-20min or just ride back down to Greer for the Ice Creame. Respectively offered, Jack (da Pale Ryder)

By using Yahoo Maps (direction finder) Put Greer, SC as starting point to Campobello, SC....then from Glassy,(down 101 or 14)SC to Greer SC.

You'll get the picture map of the route. Tx Jack
