Having recently bought a 1300S I'm waiting for some good weather to get some serious use as I don't want to spend more time cleaning than riding!
With the journeys I have done it is apparent that I need to fit a windscreen of some sort as the buffeting at any speed above 60mph is significant.
Any suggestions as to size and source? I'm about 5'11" and 11stone.

Best to buy from the sponsor of this site. Best prices in the USA too. I don't know if shipping to the UK is free. It wouldn't hurt to ask. They're good people at HDL.

Bought my windshield in October - I got the Memphis Fats 21 inch height which is just about right for my height at 6'. I'm comfortably looking over the shield with this size - this is important as looking through the shield can be dangerous during the wet.
I like the shield particularly as it clips off in seconds (4 alen fixings - keys come with kit). However, even with the shield there can be buffeting although its a different kind (smaller 'snapier' movements restricted to the head). It is important to experiment with the angle of the shield although I found vertical to be the best. Even Honda's own brand (a whopping £500) suffers the same problem according to my local dealer.
I paid £120 for the fats and would reccomend them - a ride in horrible rain left me with just wet ankles otherwise totally dry. Good protection from bugs too - I ride with an open face helmet. The kit was sourced from Bears' Customs.

Thanks, I'll look into this. I'm a bit wary of buying from overseas although I see that accessories are more widely available in the States.
I'm interested to note that you can see over the 21" screen. I'm a little shorter than you but this could be OK. I'd certainly prefer to avoid Honda prices! Detachable would be a benefit.
I used the wrong word with "buffeting" - as I'm sure you guessed, the main problem is the wind pressure on my face and chest which leaves me hanging onto the handlebars and not feeling fully in control - I wouldn't want to try any distance at speed at the moment!
Any more suggestions, anyone?

I am also 6 ft and I love my memphis windshield. It is easily taken off and I can look over mine if I had to.
