Well.......
I finally did it. Was taking the bike to my buddy Kevins bodyshop to squirt the motor black.
I didn't make it.
Something let loose in my tranny while shifting into 2nd and punched a hole in the engine case. Got the bike pulled over into a lot and the oil poured out like an old Harley. (Except there was a little antifreeze dripping too. Besides the oil... that to me was an even worse sign.)
It bled out from behind , near the driveshaft. Kinda hard to tell from where, as the side tranny cover was blocking any view. But did drain the block completely.
Thankfully the Honda dealership was only 3 blocks away. We got the ambulance over to my bike and pushed it about 2 feet before the tranny locked up. (Glad it didn't happen while on it!) Then back to the shop for more help to lift it up the ramp. (Damn, that bike is heavy!)
I won't know till monday what damage has been done but will update then.
At least it's not riding season and should (hopefully) be back on the road by then.
Dang. :(

Like I said the other night, I'll keep my ear to the ground for another case. Hopefully it won't be too bad and you will be able to get it welded if it is split. Nick has his motor at a welder now fixing the front top motor mount, maybe he can hook you up with a number.

Oh yea. It went "KaBoom" alright. Tear down wasn't complete yet but I stopped in after work to see. (Sorry... Didn't have the camera with, so no pics. Yet.)
:? Good news: No hole in the cases. (As of yet.)
:( Bad news: Cases need to be split to remove cross shaft assembly. Which means engine removal.
Bevel gear housing destroyed.
Bevel gear missing teeth. (Looks like one of those Illinois hillbillies.)
Sub Housing is now sub-standard housing.
Output shaft will be put out in the garbage.
That's as far as they got so far. I'm sure the list will grow.
Yes... I'm feeling a little blue right now. But just damn happy it went when it did. (Thanks Big Guy upstaires! ) It woulda been disaster at anything more than the 20mph I was going. (Again.... Thanks Big Guy upstaires!  )
Anyone got any extra parts?
Cheap? (As in REAL cheap?) :D

No parts but....Whew! Thank God you're alright, somebody was def looking out for you. I threw the chain on the MR250 one time and sent it threw the case at about 35, THANK-GOD again that I was going straight and was on grass. Rear wheel locked up and I slid .....well it seemed like forever....I thought had that happened on the track I could have been totaled. Some stuff ya just can't write off to luck....
