Just received a call from the son about a UPS delivery, new Pro-Series Hypercharger just arrived. My son told me he has it sitting out by the bike ready to go on. I wish it was that easy.
I'm now in need of some help rejetting the carbarator. Is rejetting something I can attempt myself or should I take it to someone? Should I use the jet kit included by Kuryakyn or buy a diffrent one? I was going to start re-assembly tonight since the engine painting is completed.

Thanks
Tim

You can do it yourself. Use the Kury set and then ask Racer for help!

Matchstick,
I have to agree with you, I have been reading the same thing. I will most likely use a Dyno 1 jet kit. Black Thunder may never run again after I get done with it.
I will have a stock air kit if you need it.

Thanks for the input.

My $.02................Give burrel's power sports a call, you might need to do what SPIKE ALWAYS SAYS (search) to find the Number, He only installs Dyno Jet kits and he will tell you what he has the best luck with And might give you a good deal.

Rejetting is a piece of cake. It's getting the correct jet size that tricky. And no one can tell you which set up will work. If ya ain't got something other than stock exhaust, I'd not change the jetting.

On the other hand if ya do have an aftermarket exhaust (vance and hines, HK's, etc) then the addition of the less restrictive intake will warrant a jet change and an idle screw adjustment. It' is not as difficult as it sounds, but do go with the dyno jet kit. Just for saske of knowing, I'm running a 85 jet (dyno) and 2 3/4 turns out on the idle mixture screw. No lag at all on acceleration any gear, and idles very well at about 900/1000 RPM. HAs never seen the color of the overheat light. took me two jet tries to get it correct, and 1 adjustment of the idle screw. I did have a bog at a larger jet size, was flooding it I think, but a simple look at the plugs and I knew it was getting too much fuel. I had to adjust the main (comes in kit) needle too, in order to get the correct setting I had to gring a lil offf the top to get it to set in the correct "groove" on the needle. If I remember right, I'm on the 4 th groove. Don't worry, it'll probably get worse before it gets better. But you can do it, and it's worth the effort. I'll help you all I can, call me.....................

All,
Black Thunder is back up and running as of 1:00 this afternoon. There are a few bugs to workout. Took her for about 10 mile ride, carb needs to be tuned alot more. I went with a 200 main and clip on the third slot.
I will try to post some pictures.

Dreyer Honda completed Dyno testing on the X yesterday. She is showing HP @ 64.9 and Torgue or 89.5. She did not seem to be running all that smooth after completing the jetting. The trip to Dreyers was money well spent. They charged me $252 to tune the bike.
Yes I know that pictures are needed, I will get on that.
