We have a ride for the east and central Michigan X Riders and friends. It will be on Saturday the 17th of April. Here are some of the details:
The starting place will be on the corner of 21 Mile and Van Dyke in Shelby Township. Everyone is to meet in the Tim Horton's parking lot at 9:00am. Departure will be at 9:30ish, and the route will take us for a ride that will last the better part of the day. We will not be taking a direct route to Lexington, but instead will be traveling through Armada, richmond, Memphis, and finally, Lexington. The route back will take us through Yale, Capac, Almont, and Romeo where we will jump on the highway to get back to our starting point. Almost the entire ride will be on rural roads except for a short run south on M-59 from Romeo.
Lunch will be in Lexington at either one of the two bars in town or the deli joint. I highly recommend the deli joint (you won't believe the fresh sandwiches they have).
If you are traveling a distance to get to our starting point, make sure you gas up before the 9:30 start (there is a station right across the street from the Tim Horton's).
Be prepared to ride, this will be a good one. Oh ya, pray for decent weather.
