Finally something interesting. knarF here from the great state of Washington. I got 4 official Iron Butt rides on my wall and 1 unofficial. My first was the 1000 in 24 hours. Took us 23 1/2 hours. Second was the Border to Border Extereme. Thats Canada to Mexico in under 24 hours. We got that one in just over 22 hours. Tried the 1500 in under 24 but fell short by about 20 minutes on that one. The last one my wife wanted her IB so bless her heart she sat on the stock rear seat for 1000 friggin miles. All on my 1300 VTX. She sure is a good bike for these Iron Butt rides. My last unofficial was just 2 weekends ago went to Los Angeles for the weekend. Just about all of it in the rain, had Hwy 101 to myself which was kinda cool. Hope to share some stories with some of y'all.
