Any one here interested in the Patriot Guard Riders Organization? Find all the useful info at www.patriotguard.org (http://www.patriotguard.org) doesn't cost a thing. The gain in pride could be tremendous though.

Went on my first mission ride to Ft. Carson in colorado Springs, CO. Wow, the patriotism, respect, and honor that surrounded this group was breathtaking. Quite, respectful, honor was the theme of the day. Each and every Patriot Guard Person paying their respects to two fallen soldiers and their family. During the roll-call their were many a tear shed for those not present, and it wasn't just by the women folk.

It saddens me that a group like this has to exist, but, it does my heart good to see them in action and know that they do.

I know that some of you here are members of the PGR already. Just wanted to let y'all know that the PGR will be doing a Field of Remembrance in Sturgis outside the Buffalo Chip this year, as opposed to the Healing Field that they did several years ago.

I believe that they will be flying a flag from all the States as well as flags from each branch of service. I have sponsored one of the Wyoming flags that will be flown up there as that is how they are raising the money to do this. Doesn't mean that others cannot sponsor a flag as well. You will even get the flag you sponsor or can have it donated elsewhere. Although this will be on a bit of a smaller scale than the last Field, it should still instill a little patriotism amongst the crowds there.

I'm going to look into it. I know they are badly in need of sponsors.

I'm a member as are a couple of other people in my CMA chapter. Life has been hectic for me the last year or so and I've not been on as many missions as I'd like.

Nor have many George. Sometimes that is just how it works out. I know that all of us would like to make every mission, but, a lot of times it just isn't feasible. Good thing Velcro vouches for you.

I am hoping that our prayers are answered this year and there will either be no missions, or, just 'feel good' missions. That way, maybe we can all just get together to ride for the sake of riding.

As for the field, if you saw the original one, you would understand the awe and pride that it inspired. I think that there should be an item like this at every rally. The flag sponsorship donation level is relatively small considering what you get for it: flag, picture, postage costs, pride, and it all goes to the construction of this field.

My plans are to be in Sturgis, at the Buffalo Chip, from August 2nd to the 10th. If any of you are planning on being there in the same time frame, I am sure that the PGR could use any assistance on pretty much any day. It costs nothing to come see the field since it will actually be outside the Chip itself.

See y'all there.

Just found this and am adding, see if it works:

Well, if Velcro vouches for me then you know I must be.... Ummmm..... I'm really not all bad I promise :)

We will have a "feel good" mission towards the end of next year I hope and pray as my little bro is leaving for Iraq pretty soon. We are trusting he has a safe return.

PGR has been invited to participate in the opening ceremonies for the Armed Forces Day at the Frontier Mall on Dell Range the 17th of May, 1030 hsowtime.

PGR has been invited to participate in the Memorial Day Parade on the 24th of May.

Please feel free to join us at these two events. For the parade, they have said that they wouldn't limit us to the amount of bikes that we can have in our procession. I was told that usually, if the group is too large, they would split them into several smaller groups. Not so for the PGR, they want us large and in charge.

See y'all at the events.
